Wedding Place Cards?

I am looking for a uniquie, elegant, creative, some kind o fway to do our wedding table place cards. That aren't extremly expensive or anything crazy just for place cards? We are having a beach wedding, with our reception indoors, but still near the beach and will be have the whole thing a beach theme! Any ideas, suggestions would be great thanks!

What you could do is go down to Michaels or another craft store in your area and pick up some plain white placecards (I got about 50 of them for $2.50). Then you can get a bag of seashells and a hot glue gun. Glue the seashells at the top corner of the placecards. I think that would look cute - and cheap. Most craft stores have the seashells. If not you could check out this website. They have an assortment of seashells for a very good price.

Either that or you could use sand dollars as placecards, but those might be a bit more pricey.

We're having the place cards on a table outside the ballroom (it will be set up in the cocktail area). We wanted to have a unique idea for placement of the place cards or a different idea for how guests can pick up there cards. Any suggestions??

Do you have a theme to your wedding?
I saw one that was really cute for a beach themed wedding. They had a little sandbox on the table and they used shells for the placecards. They put the shells in the sandbox and it looked really cute.
Maybe you could set up a tree, like in this picture, but figure out how to attach the placecards to the tree:

If the wedding is around christmas you could always hang them on the Christmas tree like ornaments.
