Can you give me some summer camp prank ideas?

Q. I see a lot of unique ideas on summer camp pranks, and they are pretty good. I am looking for a different kind of prank than what I'm see when I search prank ideas. The kind of pranks I want to do are all ones that I have to sneak around in the middle of the night in full camouflage, and pull the prank. I want it to be an adrenalin rush, where I have to sneak around to pull it, e.g. hooking an mp3 player to the pa system at night playing a song, then sneaking back to my cabin without being caught. I don't want any answers like where I put Vaseline on the door handles, putting food coloring in the soap, putting flour in a hair dryer, or anything that I don't need to sneak around to pull it.

PS: My camp is in the woods, in Ohio, there is a boys side, a girls side, a pool, and a big ravine that runs through the camp (that has heavy vegetation and is good for hiding). I will be with a few friends as I pull the pranks, so please compensate a few other people into your idea.

The Sleeping Beauty Treatment

When the target of your prank is asleep, give her a makeover by applying some makeup. If you have time (and the victim is a sound sleeper), you can add some hair product as well. This prank tends to work well when you pull it on a counselor.

Short Sheeting the Bed

This is a very simple, but effective, prank to pull at a camp where participants are using bunks that have sheets. Fold the top sheet in half, and the object of the prank won't be able to put his or her feet in the bed.

Tuna Fish Caper

To pull this one off, all you need to do is smuggle a can of tuna and a can opener into a cabin. Open the can and leave it under a bed or another location where it won't be detected easily. After a few days, the tuna will start to stink, and counselors and campers alike will have fun trying to locate the source of the odor. (This one is best pulled in a cabin that you will not be sleeping in yourself.)

Dining Hall Fun

For this prank, you will need to enlist the help of several accomplices. Sneak into the dining hall after hours and turn all the tables upside down. Stash the chairs out of sight as well, and wait for the entire camp to get a surprise the next morning.

Vaseline on a Door Knob

Putting a little Vaseline on a door knob makes it virtually impossible to open. If you are going to pull this prank, don't place it on the door knob inside a room. You don't want to make it impossible for the room's occupants to leave if an emergency occurs.

Pillow Surprise

A wet prank to play on your fellow campers is to fill a balloon with water and place it under the victim's pillow. When they turn in for the night, the balloon will burst, and they will get soaked.

Have fun but dont get caught!

Knotty pine paneling and color scheme?

My wife and I are trying to decide which color scheme to use in our dining room. Just a little background, our house was built in 1957. It has knotty pine paneling (original real wood) and hardwood floors. We will not paint over the knotty pine because we like it. We have 3 windows in the dining room and we can't decide which color scheme to use in the room. We both like neutral colors. Do you have any suggestions?

Answer
Rustic camp. Lots of plaids. Use camp-style colors such as berry red and forest green. Finishing touches might include antique sporting goods or hunting and fishing gear for display and/or decoration -- an upright canoe cut down to fit in a corner for use as a book or display case... antlers over a mantle.

English country. The central motif is floral fabrics and rugs.Cremes, yellows, pinks, blues and of course the greens found in leaves. Upholstered furniture -- a wing chair at the head of the table and a comfortable wooden rocking chair in the corner. Mix styles, woods and fabrics -- especially chintz -- to re-create the look of homes in which furnishings were gathered over time.

Attractive clutter is the heart and soul of English country. Display plates, pottery, figurines and photos -- the more, the merrier.

Farmhouse. Simplicity is the touchstone for a farmhouse look. Use primary colors - navy & cream, forest green & white, red & white buffalo checks. Use roosters and chickens, watering cans,& limit yourself to one large bold object, for a nostalgia look. Here's a link for curtains that work for this look, but they might work for other looks as well:

French country. Toile is a traditional design for French Country fabrics. A yellow background with motifs in black, blue, red, or green would be lovely. Most toile patterns are printed on linen or cotton. Simple furnishings accented by vibrant and bright accessories continue this theme. Plank tables, chairs with woven rush seats and natural linen materials. A rooster motif is often a part of this decor as well.

Hope these ideas help.
