Answer
Please ignore the suggestions using live beta fish. The vast majority of your guests will NOT want to suddenly be given a live fish as a pet, so giving away your centerpieces will not work....and male beta fish must not be kept in the same bowl, so a bride who uses live fish in her centerpieces will end up with 20+ seperate fish bowls to take care of...or her only other option is to flush all the fish. It seems like a real bad omen to kill all of the live creatures that were part of the centerpieces for your wedding.

Now, to answer your question on colors, centerpieces and bouquets:
Turquoise goes well with Aqua, ivory and/or white for a Summer wedding. If you go with a beach theme for your wedding, white, ivory and turquoise or turquoise, light turquoise (two shades of blue) and white would look great.

Going with white, ivory and turquoise will save you a lot of money on rental fees, since you will not have to get special blue tablecloths, you can get white or ivory and use turquoise accents like napkins or favors.

For your centerpieces, use round mirrors on each table. Have a larger vase or bowl in the center, surrounded by small glass votives in turquoise. Put turquoise marbles in the bottom of the vase, fill the vase with water, add a drop or two of blue food coloring and put one or two white roses in the water. Float a white candle on top. The light from the votives and the floating candle will be reflected off of the surface of the mirror, making your centerpiece glow. A fantastic effect.

If you go with ivory and/or white as accent colors, your options with flowers are much wider. Since their gowns will be all blue, I suggest going with simple white flower arrangements...such as bundles of white lillies or white roses with ivory wrapped around the stems. The white and ivory will stand out from the blue of their dresses instead of losing the flower arrangements to too much turquoise.

Just some food for thought. Good luck with your wedding!
