What are good foods to serve at a first birthday party?

My daughter's first birthday will be next month, and I'm working on a menu of foods to serve...but I'm stuck. Any good suggestions? Thanks!
My daughter will probably be the only baby, and the youngest kid will be like 6. So, I will just feed my daughter what she would normally eat for dinner, but I need to figure out what to feed the guests.

Answer
Well, it depends in part on who's coming (what ages), how many people, and what time of day, of course. Indoor or outdoor? Sit-down meal? Buffet? Appetizers and finger foods only? Of course you'll have birthday cake!

I always like to start with a theme. That helps me to focus a bit more (and narrow the choices a bit)! We had a bunny and snowflake theme for my daughter's first birthday (in December). The color scheme was pink, teal and white. Honestly, I no longer remember what food I served (it was almost 10 years ago), but I can still visualize the sheetcake I made, decorated with pink frosting an a "Pat the Bunny" picture.

Does your daughter have a favorite stuffed animal or toy? Do you have a decoration theme or color scheme in your daughter's room that you want to carry over to the party?

Here's how my mind would work: Hmmmm ... it's going to be fall, leaves will be turning. I like light browns and yellow and green and red ... hmmm ... she likes her teddy bears ... we can do a Teddy Bear Picnic theme! I'll put some teddy bears on the table as a centerpiece. Get some cheap checkered tablecloths. Picnic baskets as decorations. Fill with practical stuff (for example plastic silverware and napkins) or fill with cute stuff (more teddybears). Food will now be a picnic theme. Some possibilities include cold fried chicken, cute little sandwiches cut into triangles, or maybe one of those huge submarine sandwiches that serve a whole bunch of people, a pasta salad on the side, chips / pretzels, veggies and dip. A bowl of Teddy Grahams and/or a bowl of Gummi Bears for munching (although you will probably want to keep them out of reach of the youngest ones). Decorate with cutout fall leaves. Maybe use maple frosting on the cake. For the youngest ones, just pick their favorite food. If you can make it fit with the them, great. If not, it doesn't matter (they won't totally get the theme idea anyway). Make or buy a cake that fits the theme, and let the birthday girl dig in with her hands after you sing happy birthday!

I used to throw themed birthday parties for both my kids, and I swear I had as much fun planning them as they had enjoying them! I've done a dinosaur theme, a bug theme, a teddy bear beach party, a luau, a Harry Potter / Hogwarts theme, a Knights and Princesses theme, horses, gingerbread houses, Winnie-the-Pooh ... just to make a few!!

There are really a million possibilities regarding menu choices. If you have ideas for a theme, or guidance as to the type of meal and ages of guests, I'd be happy to try to think up some ideas.

Oh ... and if you need ideas for crafts or activities or party hand-outs for the kids attending, I'd be glad to help you think of ideas for those as well. Just need to know about how many kids, what ages, boys or girls.

:-)

Where do i get good favors for a wedding?

Nicole G

I am looking to decorate my wedding in seashell and dolphin decorations. I want all the center pieces to be decorated with a glass full of sand and seashells and then a candle in the middle. I am having trouble because i want 2 dolphins jumping out of it but i cant find anything. I was thinking of chocolate dolphins jumping out and then people can take that home as a favor but i cant find anything like that. Does anyone have any suggestions of what i could do??

Answer
Oriental trade center has a variety of beach themed party decorations. I love the idea for the centerpieces! If you were to place the glasses of sand and seashells on a mirror that would look awesome too. Depending on the formality there are some cute mini pails you could put the sand and seashells in too. Here are some suggestions for products in order to get those centerpieces!

Is that true according to a muslim the stories of Isa in the Quran is not Jesus from the Bible? is another man

Q. according to a muslim Isa is not jesus because his name in arabic should be something like Ieshu or something like that.. Isa from Quran born from a virgin, she was relative of Harun's family and his never died.. he was taken by Allah to the Heaven.. in the Quran mentions a miracle you cannot find in the Bible, the table where Isa prayed for a table with food for his apostles.. so what's the truth? if is Isa and Jesus the same person? or Isa is different from Jesus ?

Answer
We cannot blame the Christians for their skepticism. They have been so learned for centuries. They were trained to think the worst of the man Muhammed, (salla Allah u alihi wa sallam), and his religion. How aptly did Thomas Carlyle say about his Christian brethren over a hundred and fifty years ago: "The lies which well-meaning zeal has heaped round this man (Muhammed) are disgraceful to ourselves only." We Muslims are partly responsible for this. We have not done anything substantial to remove the cobwebs.

Christians Unaware
The Christian does not know that the true spirit of charity which the Muslim displays, always, towards Jesus and his mother Mary spring from the fountainhead of his faith - the Holy Qurâân. He does not know that the Muslim does not take the holy name of Jesus, in his own language, without saying Eesa, alaihi assalam ("Jesus, peace be upon him")
The Christian does not know that in the Holy Qurâân Jesus is mentioned twenty five times. For example:
"We gave Jesus, the son of Mary, clear signs and strengthened him with the Holy Spirit" (The Holy Qurâân 2:87)
"O Mary! God giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary..." (3:45)
"...Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) an apostle of god..." (4:171)
"...And in their foot steps we sent Jesus the son of Mary..." (5:46)
"And Zakariya and John, and Jesus and Elias: all in the ranks of the righteous." (6:85)
Jesus - His Titles
Though Jesus is mentioned by name in twenty-five places in the Holy Qurâân, he is also addressed with respect as: Ibn Maryam, meaning "The son of Mary"; and as the Maseeh (in Hebrew it is the Messiah), which is translated as "Christ". He is also known as Abdullah, "The servant of Allah"; and as Rasul u Allah, the messenger of Allah.
He is spoken of as "The Word of God", as "The Spirit of God", as a "Sign of God", and numerous other epithets of honor spread over fifteen different chapters. The Holy Quran honors this mighty messenger of God, and the Muslims have not fallen short over the past fourteen hundred years in doing the same. There is not a single disparaging remark in the entire Quran to which even the most jaundiced among the Christians can take exception.
Eesa Latinised to "Jesus"
The Holy Qurâân refers to Jesus as Eesa, and this name is used more times than any other title, because this was his "Christian" name. Actually, his proper name was Eesa (Arabic), or Esau (Hebrew); classical Yeheshua, which the Christian nations of the West latinised as Jesus. Neither the "J" nor the second "s" in the name Jesus is to be found in the original tongue - they are not found in the Semitic languages.
The word is very simply "E S A U" a very common Jewish name, used more than sixty times in the very first booklet alone of the Bible, in the part called "Genesis". There was at least one "Jesus" sitting on the "bench" at the trial of Jesus before the Sanhedrin. Josephus the Jewish historian mentions some twenty five Jesus' in his "Book of Antiquities". The New Testament speaks of "Bar-Jesus" a magician and a sorcerer, a false prophet (Acts 13:6); and also "Jesus-Justus" a Christian missionary, a contemporary of Paul (Colossians 4:11). These are distinct from Jesus the son of Mary. Transforming "Esau" to (J)esu(s) - Jesus - makes it unique. This unique (?) name has gone out of currency among the Jews and the Christians from the 2nd century after Christ. Among the Jews, because it came to be a name of ill - repute, the name of one who blasphemed in Jewry; and among the Christians because it came to be the proper name of their God. The Muslim will not hesitate to name his son Eesa because it is an honored name, the name of a righteous servant of the Lord.

i am working towards my eagle award. i already have project picked out but i need a few more ideas towards....?

Alex

i am transforming an area behind a community center for mentally challenged adults. they already have a pavilion there. I've been thinking of some picnic tables or a fire pit with benches. also they'd like to put in either a atv or golf cart pathway and maybe a small fish pond. however i have no experience with fishponds so id like to know what is needed for that like if the fish need to be brought in over the winter or what kind of equipment you need. if you would care to critique my ideas and add your own it would be extremely appreciated

I am going to be visiting Salzburg and I would like to eat german, austrian traditional food... Does anyone have any ideas?or great places to eat in Salzburg in general?

Answer
Siftskeller St. Peter- St Peter Bezirk 1 - 4 http://www.haslauer.at/

Apple strudel, of course, but also the famous Salzburger Nockerln, Marillenknoedel - a sort of apricot dumplings, mousse au chocolat and much more.
It's not too expensive and you get a whole plate full of food, not just a tiny dumpling in the middle.
There are several rooms in the restaurant, also a beergarden

Cafe Konditorei Peter Lohe - Elisabethstrasse 1/B Great coffee and cake

Cafe Costa - Bergstrasse 18 www.cafe-costa.at It's worth to pay attention to the notice showing the specials of the day: during the week, they have main dish + sweet for 5.50 euros and on Sundays there is a special dish for 4.5 (without dessert).

Alter Fuchs. Linzergasse 47-49 5020 Salzburg
The table service was efficient and friendly and cheerful. The food was great: a great mix of local and Austrian dishes, the Vienner Schnitzel was so good the first night that I ordered it again when we went back the second time.

ARGE Kultur Mühlbacherhofweg 5 A-5020 Salzburg
Austrian cuisine, vegetarian cuisine; nice garden; suitable for wheelchair users.

Gablerbräu Linzergasse 9
Hotel/Restaurant in an old Patrician house in the New Town, Linzer Gasse. The walls are decorated with frescos and you can also see some stained glass windows. The benches/chairs/tables are made of dark wood.

Attentive, competent staff. Hearty Austrian food. I had dinner there two nights and would go back anytime. Their dark beer is a specialty - yummy.

They serve excellent steaks and schnitzel (11-13 Euro) with baked potatoes. Marillen Palatschinken (apricot pancakes) for dessert were delicious.

Enjoy!

What are your views on the things happening in Delhi right now?

Recently, a girl died in Singapore who was shifted from Saftarjung Hospital to there due to several injuries/her declining medical condition. What are your views on what should be done to fix such problems and make things safer for women?

Answer
In the US if you rape some one the first time and are found guilty you are set free with nothing but a slap on the wrist. In India they already get life in prison and some how this does not deter the rapists there. women need to wise up and carry a knife or other weapon. Not sure what a knife costs in Delhi. You can get a great one hear in the states called a hunting knife. Long enough to go all the way thru their body if required for only 7.95 at walmart camping department. It comes with a sheath so you can slip it on a belt and wear it openly. Its a nice little reminder to would be attackers to pick on somebody not armed instead. Rape is the law of a God who feels men should please themselves with whatever is handy. In his big 10 commandments he does not even mention women or children or rape. Its a man worlds. DON'T MAKE GRAVEN IMAGES (WHATEVER THOSE ARE), that gets almost top billing but rape is just alright with God. With this in mind, men tend to please themselves all they like in every country. In America, more and more women are getting armed via guns or knives or mace. Women in India need to do the same thing. Laws never once stopped a criminal or fear of being caught. They do what they do because the odds of actually being punished are so slim they ignore the law no matter how harsh and in America its a rapists paradise as the law against sex offenders here is either to set them free OR give them 10 years but let them out in 6 weeks because frankly, there are few beds open in prison anymore for long term stays so they have that revolving door policy for all pedophiles and rapists but women here are changing the judicial system that looks the other way ever since the cave man days of old and carrying concealed or non concealed weaponry to make sure they can slow down or halt any would be attack. I believe in showing off your weapon, it stops attacks from happening to begin with. It works like putting up neighborhood watch signs in a subdivision. They see that sign and go down the road instead to some subdivision to rob a house where people might be less apt to be armed and ready. Women have been raped since Men were created. The head of the Baptist church released a statement last year to all baptist women in america, they are not allowed to EVER tell a man no to sex, no excuse accepted. So like if you had a triple heart bypass that day, too bad, GOD says you HAVE TO do it with hubby. Get rid of politicians and religions and watch how quickly laws change. They carried a six shooter on every hip in the old west and tho hollywood and its thousands of old western movies show it was a showdown every night of the week, frankly crime was 99 percent lower than now and a gun was very very very rarely ever shot. You put a knife on your hip and the odds of you not being raped are 99 percent also. Otherwise we women are sitting ducks. Always have been but today women are getting smarter and what we can't make up for in Brawn, pointy little objects tend to balance the scales considerably more. Mace is fine but it takes all day to turn off the safety on it. You have to press it so hard to try to get a tiny stream to come out and if you don't hit them in the face quickly they have you already and its too late. You pull out a knife, no safety, you begin swinging it and watch how quickly they run. Changing the laws in Singapore are no different than laws in the US or India. Men have never been afraid of the law. Being men they all think they are made of steel. but since a knife will cut thru their steel bodies (they don't have ) that tends to wake them up and also cool their lust for blood and terror. Nothing ever changes unless you bring a little terror into the picture and turn those tables around. Rape is a not a US problem, its world wide, its horrible everywhere. Screaming or scratching or pulling their hair does not save your life. A knife however scares the pee out of a man, you might actually cut his peenie and that wouldn't be nice so they run away like the cowards they are.

Where can I find the TV base stand for a Samsung 40in tv model # LN40c530F1F?

Alex

I bought the tv from Walmart as a display but it did not come with the tv base in order for it to stand on a table stand.

Answer
It is very difficult to finds stands for specific TV's as most manufacturers do not make then to be bought independently. You can try to contact Samsungs customer service and ask but I doubt they will have such option or will know where to get one. And if they do it will be like $250.

Your next chance would be trying to check on Craigslist and see if anyone is selling (or giving away) used or parts only TV of your model or very similar one with stand.

Third option would be to by a universal TV stand such as this one:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000BQM6MI/ref=as_li_ss_til?tag=flapantvinf-20&camp=213381&creative=390973&linkCode=as4&creativeASIN=B000BQM6MI&adid=0F5W7HGFR0094YRZ2ACY&
They are not cheap, but they will hold up to 50 inch TV.

And if you are considering the above option, check and see if you would like an entire entertainment thing to go with it, for $100 or so more:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001O9CK2M/ref=as_li_ss_til?tag=flapantvinf-20&camp=213381&creative=390973&linkCode=as4&creativeASIN=B001O9CK2M&adid=1AHGW8ZDVHCP5E2FSMC5&

Good Luck!

Is it selfish when someone has food on their plate, but they take more food?

Nam

My friend tends to do this A LOT! We eat with each other, and he grabs a load of food to put on his plate. For example, there are several more shrimp left; I have nothing on my plate, while he has a lot on his, and he takes the last of the shrimp. Is this selfish?

Answer
A way to solve this problem is to put each person's food onto their plates and do not have a shared bowl from which to take the food. If there's any left over, don't mention it, simply leave it on the kitchen bench and when he has finished eating, and you're full as well, tell him that if he's still hungry he may have what's still left on the kitchen bench. Don't always have some left over, or he'll just stand up and race you to where he knows there's food. Sometimes have extra, at other times don't have any extra. He'll slowly learn to ask, and will probably learn to follow the good example you've set down for him by asking if you have finished and if you'd like more food. Sometimes, it's better to put ideas into practise than to try and verbally instruct others. The chances of his having seen and heard of table etiquette are high, he just needs to stop and think about what he's doing.

where would be the best place to purchase an indoor play center for my 2 yr old.?

Casey

I have a empty room that is 20' by 15' and I am looking to get the best deals on a padded activity center with various stations. It would be ideal if I could make out with under $1000.

Thanks for you answers.

Answer
Your best bet, I would say is to use some imagination and go to Walmart and Toys R Us. You can get the outside club houses with the slides there, and whatever other kind of stations that you may be looking for. As far as the mats, you may want to try a gymnastics center. If you are looking for an all padded center.... you are probably looking at a lot more money. I would do fun stations for the kids and put the mats around it. At Walmart... you can get a ball pit for $50.00.... a kitchen set for $50.00... just try and be creative! I have a similar size room... mine isn't padded, but I have a sandbox, a ball pit, a kitchen set, a tool bench, a toy box, a plastic table for coloring and play dough.... if that helps with any ideas. I am not sure exactly what it is you are looking for, but I hope that it helps you. And Good Luck!

i just want to take my stuff and leave, drive until i find a place to rest.
not knowing where i'm going. just going with it. being free.
(although California feels quite right.)
i live in Massachusetts.
i want to be completely off the government charts. no more bank account. no more address. no more bills.
is this possible? (i can deal with still paying some bills...)
but eventually, once i'm tired of my car, i'd like to lessen my amount of material items even more and continually ride a bike to nowhere.

some questions...
1. where could i park and sleep?
2. how much money should i start out with/ do you know about how much gas it's going to take?
3. will i find enough natural foods to keep me alive? (apples, nuts)
4. is there a device that translates car power into electricity? (from the little lighter thing maybe?)
5. where else could i charge my electronics?
6. i want to make money on my own, but how when i'm unsettled?
i make art, am a great organizer, i find a use for everything (cardboard box tables), have good insight, good therapist,...
mainly i turn trash into treasure. i love it. maybe i can do that somehow?
how could i sell my stuff?
8. would it be smart to make it a goal to get to California?

help please. does this even sound like a good idea? haha.
i want to make it work.
i'm 18. home is awful.
i don't fit in with society...
haha OBVIOUSLY i'd be homeless.
thanks for answering my questions....

Answer
I can relate to how you feel. I would obviously stay south in the winter and go north in the summer. California is quite expensive and crowded. You don't need banks, no matter what the sheep people tell you. It may be difficult without credit cards getting a motel room, at least in the big chains, or to rent a car. But carry camping gear and camp across the country. It is cheap, or even free if you are on public lands. If you need to pay bills, buy money orders and mail them out. (Be sure to put account numbers on the Money Order)

1. Camp. There are thousand of places to do it in the USA
2. I would start with a few thousand dollars. But you can stop at times and do odd jobs for survival money.
3. Yes, there are places to buy that stuff all over, ot learn to get it in the wild.
4. You can charge that stuff in rest stops, gas stations, restaurants, anywhere with an electrical outlet.
5. There are always transient jobs. Wash dishes, work on farms and ranches, go to temp agencies in the bigger towns. There is always something. Just don't resort to panhandling. It sounds like you are better than that.
8. I lived in California for 20 years. Everyone should check it out. But I found much better places to go.

It is a great idea. At least give it a try. If you don't, you will always wonder "what if"? You can make it work if you want it bad enough. At age 18, you have a great opportunity here. I am a recluse too.

As for being homeless, you don't need to be.You can forward mail for up to 30 days from where you are, in care of General Delivery in the next town you are going to. Sorry for the long answer.

Why is the Obama camp closely linked to the ethanol business?

Obama - Wi

The New York Times on Monday June 23rd published an article with this title.

Mr. Obama is running as a reformer who is seeking to reduce the influence of special interests. But like any other politician, he has powerful constituencies that help shape his views. And when it comes to domestic ethanol, almost all of which is made from corn, he also has advisers and
prominent supporters with close ties to the industry at a time when energy policy is a point of sharp contrast between the parties and their presidential candidates.

Obama supports a import tax on ethanol made from sugar cane., Corn ethanol generates less than two units of energy for every unit of energy used to produce it, while the energy ratio for sugar cane is more than 8 to 1. With lower production costs and cheaper land prices in the tropical countries where it is grown, sugar cane is a more efficient source.

So does this explain why he does not want to drill for oil? He has the ethanol crowd backing his bid?
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25324195/

Answer
Barack Obama is a protectionist when it is politically and financially expedient for him to be.

Tariffs on Brazilian alcohols have for decades made Flex Fuel vehicles (GEM FFV) a marginal weapon against world oil prices and global warming and pollution.

Saudi Arabia has maintained level oil production numbers over the past 33 years and used the increased demand to increase prices on oil and gasoline world wide.

If the protectionist activity that Obama is involved in were to be eliminated E85 fuel pumps would be plentiful and the $2.70 USD alcohol (ethanol) fuel would be a counter point to the high prices of OPEC oil that the Saud family controls. The OPEC oil would have a ceiling price that would cap gasoline prices at $2.70 USD per gallon.

Obama is no friend of the American or worldwide oil consumers. His activity is costing you money every time you go to the gas station to fill up.

If you had the choice to fill up with a flex fuel, methane or ethanol, your energy costs would have a fixed maximum price dictated by market conditions.

It possible that we could limit the price for automobile fuels to $2.70 per gallon, but not with Obama's protectionist tariffs in place.

Call the Senator and ask him to co-sponsor a GEM FFV flex fuel bill, TODAY!

The current production problems are not caused by the U. S. government and the delivery system companyâs CEOs are not to blame. This is a problem of worldwide Wahhabi Muslim hatred for western civilization home grown in Saudi Arabia, Osama Bin Laden's home country. Saudi Arabia is responsible for the current ARTIFICIAL oil shortage.

Saudi Arabia dominates OPEC and OPEC pricing arrangements (where it costs $.50 (fifty cents) to produce a barrel of oil, and is the home to the 9/11 terrorists that attacked the United States) and is the home of Wahhabi Muslim extremism.

Saudi Arabia is by far the largest recipient of international oil revenues â as large as the next four OPEC members combined.

Worldwide environmentalists, supported by Saudi money, have made investment in energy infrastructure too expensive and too slow to be of help in this pending economic collapse created by our foreign Muslim enemies.

What the Saudi politico-religious thought could not do with planes flying into buildings, they are now doing by strangling the economic life out of western countries addicted to Saudi (OPEC) oil.

OPEC Oil will be $200.00 USD/BBL by the end of 2008 and $300.00 USD/BBL by the end of 2009, if current trends continue.

World Population increased by 2.5 Billion over the 33 years from 1973 to 2006 and OPEC oil production stayed the same, while vehicle miles driven have rose by 4.5 billion per day in the U.S.

1973 Total World Population 4.108 Billion (May 22, 1973)
http://www.ibiblio.org/lunarbin/worldpop...
2006 Total World Population 6.618 Billion (May 22, 2008)
World POPClock, U. S. Bureau of Census, http://www.census.gov/ipc/www/popclockwo...

1973 Total OPEC Oil production 30.63 Mbbls per day
2006 Total OPEC Oil Production 30.66 Mbbls per day
Table 11.5 World Crude Oil Production, 1960-2006 (Million Barrels per Day), http://www.eia.doe.gov/aer/txt/ptb1105.h...

1973 Billions of vehicle miles driven per day (US) 3.7 (per yearâ¦1350.5)
2006 Billions of vehicle miles driven per day (US) 8.2 (per yearâ¦2993)
http://www.theoildrum.com/story/2006/12/...

The best hope for worldwide oil consumers is for the United States Congress to mandate the sale of only GEM FFV (Gasoline Ethanol Methanol - Flex Fuel Vehicle) cars in the United States. The additional cost of manufacture is only about $100.00 USD.

This mandate would force all worldwide automobile manufacturers wanting to do business in the U.S. to start making GEM FFV cars able to run on any of these fuels: Gasoline, Ethanol or Methanol. This would make it economically viable for all cars worldwide to be GEM FFV also. As most automobiles worldwide would be GEM Flex pumps would be installed by fueling stations as a matter of market conditions. Then consumers would have a choice of fuels and could choose the least expensive fuel to buy when they arrive at the fueling station.

A gallon of Methane costs about $1.35 USD (0.96 in 9/2007) to make, with a 50% energy equivalent of gasoline, it equals about $2.70 per energy equivalent for miles traveled. This would put a ceiling cap on the price for gasoline at $2.70/gal. Ethanol has a slightly higher energy equivalent but costs about the same to make.

A bio-mass alcohol production plant takes 12 to 18 months, with current prohibitive environmental woes, to build; this could be shortened considerably to about 6 months by reducing environmentalist roadblocks. A medium sized plant costs about as much as a common strip mall. Within three years 50 million cars would be able to demand the fuel of the ownerâs choice when driving up to the pump.

Consequences of a GEM FFV Flex Fuel Mandate:

A US mandate would drive all foreign autos to GEM Flex Fuel manufacture, within a few years of enactment. This would create a larger market in the US, Europe, & Japan for Alcohol Fuels than local agriculture could meet, this, in turn, would create a huge advanced-sector market for third world agricultural produce, support third world farmers income and eliminate protectionist tariffs on Brazilian alcohol.

As these trade barriers come down tropical agricultural countries could secure income for development and alcohol manufacturing countries would obtain expanded third world markets.

The oil cartelâs vertical monopoly on the worldâs fuel supply would be broken.

The main advantage is that to compete for sales the OPEC oil would be limited to the $2.70 PER GALLON OF GAS PRICE CEILING created by the adoption of alternative fuels.

Call your Senator and tell them to co-sponsor a Flex-Fuel Vehicle Mandate Bill. Do it now. Or send them an email message telling them the same.

What should my theme of my sweet 16 be and what activities should I do at it?

beach theme table decorations image

Demi

I am wanting to know what the theme of my party should be if I am renting a hall in springfield illinois for my sweet 16 and having both friends and family at the party.

Answer
Either a Candlyland theme. you can have a candy bar and then for favors give them a box with your name on it and the guest can fill it with candy from the candy bar. hire a local dj company. get a bake with the candy land board on it with you in the castle on top instead of the king. rent a cotton candy maker and have someone in your family run it.

Or an luau. you can get a tropical type dress. have each table decorated with a different Hawaiian item(leis, grass skirt, coconuts, tropical fish). for favor you could but pretty Hawaiian style plastic glasses put decorative rocks in them with a tropical flower sticking out of the top and but a sticker on the bottom on the glass with your name on it. again you could hire a local dj. for a cake you could have it like a beach with gram cracker sand and sugar decorations.

~Hopes this helps and gives you an idea of themes

What would you use to decorate a "twilight" themed table?

Karissa

We are doing a trivia night at our local church and our table theme is "Twilight" We need suggestions for decorations and a center piece. The best themed table wins a prize!! Thanks!

Answer
For the center piece, you could build a pyramid of apples with hearts carved out of each apple (book cover). Go to your local volvo dealer and pick up some of their keychains and then hang like 3 or 4 of the volvo keychains at each corner (edward's silver volvo). Place a cd/mp3 player under the table and play Claire De Lune (Edward's and Bella's favorite music). Find some plastic topaz colored crystals or sequins and scatter them on the table (Edward's eyes). Find some postcards from Forks, La Push, First Beach and Port Angles Washington. If the theme is for the whole twilight saga, you can get chess pieces (breaking dawn) and hang many red ribbons from the edge of the table (eclipse). That's all I can think of for now. If i think of any more ideas, i will let you know.

How do I plan a successful camping trip without overstressing so I can enjoy it too?

I'm supposed to be planning a camping 3day 2night camping trip for about 10-15 people. We want to keep it cheap and this is my first time planning my husband's squadron camp-out and it's still two weeks away and I just can't keep things organized and I'm having a hard time getting people to cooperate. Any suggestions?

Answer
My wife and I used to do this...a LOT!

We cooked breakfast every morning. Lunches were on your own. Dinners were we cooked the meat and the other campers provided the side dishes.

Everyone paid $15 toward the meals we provided. That didn't cover the actual cost, but it came pretty close because I used a lot of things from home that I already had. Salt and pepper shakers, cooking oil, margarine, etc.

Pancakes are cheap. Scrambled eggs with bits of ham and cheese is easy. Potatoes are cheap. I had an electric table top griddle that I used for breakfast. We camped where they had hook-ups.

Everyone is responsible to provide their own sleeping equipment and ice chests, etc.

You either want to get what is called a "group site", or several camping "spaces" together. Ask the park ranger how many vehicles are allowed per space. The more people you can get in a space, the cheaper the space.

Find out if there is someone in the squadron that has access to free firewood.

Distribute lists of what each person is responsible for. They need to bring 2 lunches for themselves and provide a side dish for 2 dinners for the group. Their $15, will provide 3 breakfasts and 2 dinners. They need to bring their own plates. utensils, and drinks.

Have set meal times for breakfast and dinner. Since they are on their own for lunch, you will have all day to enjoy yourself.

You can plan some games, or get someone else who would like to do that. Water-filled balloon toss. Hairy man contest. Whatever you think would work with the group you have.

Sitting around the fire in the evening is a great time to share "The Most Embarrassing Moment" story, or who can tell the biggest lie.

You can do any variations on this you want. Depending on budget, where the money comes from, what if anything you are able to get donated. You may find a store that is willing to donate if "Squadron" indicates your husband and other campers are in the military.

You can find junk in your garage, such as an old fuel pump or something and write "Hairy Man Trophy" on it with a magic marker. Much more fun than the real thing.

You are limited by your imagination much more than you are by lack of helpful participants. You will be finding people willing to help out when you actually get there.

How can someone who hates camping make the most of it?

ADB

A friend invited me on a 3 night, 4 day camping trip with her and her family. I would really like to spend time with my friend, but I've never been much of an "outdoor girl". I like a nice hotel room over sleeping on the ground. That said, I need to get away and would really like to try something new. How do you make the most of a camping trip? What's the best way to sleep comfortably and avoid getting eaten alive by mosquitoes? Any hints, tips, or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Turn it into a glamping adventure by bringing all the comforts of home. The easiest way to do that is to use a recreational vehicle they can be rented for the day, the weekend, the week or all summer. These are a hotel on wheels basically and all campgrounds accommodate them.
http://www.cruiseamerica.com/?utm_source=adcenter&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=full

If that is not your thing then tenting can still be a clamping adventure but still just as costly for the first timer. You start with getting a spacious tent and then outfitting it with the state of the art air beds, warm fluffy sleeping bags and or bedding, and comfy camp chairs and a nice side table with a coleman lamp an indoor/outdoor rug by the door and you have a wonderful and comfortable set up.

Skeeters can be kept at bay the same way that you would in your own back yard and decorate your campsite to. You can set out citronella oil lanterns and candles and then use a deet based product on your clothing.

Is it normal for me to want to jack off with my guy friends?

Nate Simps

We've seen each other naked etc. and have joked around about circle jerking. But we are all straight as hell. We are a tight knit group and have also joked about having group sex with girls. So do you think it would be okay to jack together to straight porn etc.?
And we've all seen one anothers morning woods. As we have all partied together etc. therefore spend the night together because we won't drive after.
We are all 19-20
Morning wood is a morning erection you wake up with...

Answer
I did it w/ friends when we were all like 10-14. Camping out, tree forts...those kind of situations. Exploration, comparisons and curiosity. That kind of stuff. To me, it was completely natural and no big deal. I think it's great you've still got such a tight group of friends. You're comfortable with each other and something as simple as "flogging the log" next to each other....means squat. Way too many guys are too uptight about this crap. Who cares dude, who cares? Wax your candle when you want. If it's w/ buddies nearby?......low card wipes off the coffee table.

Where would I purchase characters for a snow scene?

I would like to find small characters that would sit...on benches....tables...swings etc. for a snow scene we create each year...any suggestions where to get them?

Answer
I had gotten mine at a Hobby Crafts store. If you find a store that has electric trains, like Lionel, it usually carries the accessories to create a toy town or village. I don't remember seeing table or swings (that doesn't mean there aren't any) but I do have a park bench, people sitting on the bench, skaters, even dogs and other animals. One problem - finding everything that is relatively the same size.

How much does it cost to refinish a picnic table?

How much does it cost to have a Picnic Table (6ft)and 2 benches refinished?
Table is or was redwood but faded and dry.(sanding is needed)

Answer
It would really depend on the condition â¦..

If it is put together with carriage bolts or even screws â¦..you might consider flipping the top and seat boards over .....as opposed to sanding them.

Does anyone know any good proposal ideas for Disney World?

beach table decorating ideas on Fruits Wedding Table Decorations, Fruits Wedding Table Decorations ...
beach table decorating ideas image

gizmo10150

I'm in search of the ultimate proposal idea at Disney World in Orlando. I've heard of a few, but want to get more information. Has anyone heard of a crown or a glass shoe being braught up to you while standing in front of the Castle with the ring? Thanks.

Answer
CINDERELLA'S ROYAL TABLE ENGAGEMENT PACKAGE

Because it is located in Cinderella Castle, Cinderella's Royal Table is a perfectly romantic place to feel like a royal couple. Proposing at Cinderella's Royal Table is so popular that the restaurant offers an engagement package.

The fairytale dining spot features American cuisine and hosts meet-and-greets with Disney princesses and the Fairy Godmother during breakfast and lunch. The engagement package is available at breakfast, lunch or dinner.

After your meal the server will present the engagement ring in a glass slipper, lying on a bed of fresh rose petals enclosed in a decorative platter with a dome lid. This is followed with a non-alcoholic champagne toast.

During lunch or dinner, you also have the option of a special white chocolate slipper filled with chocolate mousse on an angel food cake pillow, served with fresh berries and a raspberry sauce.

The Cinderella's Royal Table Engagement Package includes:

Preferred restaurant seating overlooking the Carrousel

A photograph with Cinderella

Your meal, including a toast with non-alcoholic beverage

A crystal slipper engraved with your names and the date

A pair of decorated take-home champagne flutes

A Cinderella's Royal Table lithograph

A personal photographer to capture the moment

The cost is $300 plus 6.5% tax and 18% gratuity.

Call (407) 824-4477 at least 7 days in advance to schedule a proposal using the engagement package at Cinderella's Royal Table. I recommend calling even earlier because it can take them quite a while to get back to you!

ROMANTIC PLACES TO PROPOSE AT WALT DISNEY WORLD

If you want to propose in a memorable place at Walt Disney World without buying an "engagement package," here are some perfect spots that won't cost you anything (except, in some cases, theme park admission):

At the Wishing Well, next to the Castle in Magic Kingdom

In front of Cinderella's Castle at night

On the Peter Pan ride, as you fly over the lights of London

On the beach at the Polynesian, ideally just before the fireworks - Sunset Pointe is a perfect spot

At any of the other resort beaches, including the ones at Grand Floridian, Coronado Springs and Caribbean Beach resorts

In the France courtyard or Italy courtyard in Epcot's World Showcase, at night (maybe just before IllumiNations)

On the fourth-floor balcony at Wilderness Lodge, overlooking the lake

Of course, any location that is special to the two of you is perfect for a proposal!

Where can I find beach type centerpieces idea?

Q. Decorating for sisters reception, around 100 people, round tables...need ideas or websites with ideas and pics for ideas, thanks a bunch!

Answer
Best bet...make your own. Use the websites to get ideas, but steal the idea and make your own stuff. It'll be way cheaper, but take up a little more time.

I would be real simple about it too. For example:

Get some sand, little coctail umbrellas, miniature beach balls, doll sized sandle and sunglasses.

Drop the sand in the center of the table, randomly place the other objects to make a tiny little beach in the middle of each table.

If you really wanna be creative, get some tea light candles, place them in the sand (burried, but not covered) and light them as tiki torches. The sand wont burn, so if it gets into the candle wax it'll be fine.

What should i do with my swing set during the upcoming hurricane?

charles

There's a hurricane coming up and i was wondering what i should do with my swing set? when two kids swing in the same direction, the swing set comes out of the ground. should i put it on it's side or leave it up during the hurricane?

Answer
If it is not anchored down, pull it over and lay it on the ground. And remove the swings and take them inside. We used to do that all the time, it's best to be safe - lay it up against the house and lay something heavy over it to stabilize it.

Also, if you have any patio furniture, take it inside or flip the table and lay the chairs down on top of it - and use some rope and secure them all together for added weight and safety. Look at any outdoor things that are loose - trash cans, planters or pots - move them inside or up against a wall.

What's a good (kid friendly, at least during the day!) pub/brewery/beer garden in Austin?

sarah_dtv

With good ambience. And kid friendly, which I mentioned. Thanks!
You're right, William K. Most of Europe IS white trash. What am I thinking??

Answer
The Draught House on Medical Parkway is your best bet by far for a family friendly pub and brewery.

They have been there for years making quality brews, and they also offer a great variety of imports.

They have good pub grub, too, and they offer free brats on Saturday and free pizza on Wednesday.

The outdoor tables are perfect for family, friends, kids, and dogs especially on late summer afternoons and early evenings.

How can I hold high notes while singing?

beach glass tables on ... Lifestyle Blog: Beach Grass Cottage: Sea Glass, Seashells & Starfish
beach glass tables image
Q. I have quite a high vocal range e.g. when I scream its so high pitched that glass should break. I have started to sing classically and I have found that I can sing both really low and really high. However, sometimes when I sing high my voice sounds weak and my vibrato stops. This is completely different on other occasions when I can even sing a high A.
How can I hold my notes and strengthen my vocal chords?

Answer
1. Stand up straight. Stand with your spine against a pole, (or out-facing corner of a wall) head high but loosely relaxed, shoulders back, and arms hanging by your sides.

2. Hold your hands in table fasion position (flat and parallel to the ground) above your lips but below your nose. . . . just do it . . . and say "HA!" loudly. If your not sure how look at a military movie (pretty much any one would do) and mimick the soldiers answering their commanding office. Hold a piece of paper out in front of you (about 6 inches or so) and if it moves when you say "HA!" then your doing it right. Remember how your diaphragm feels. If you don't know what a diaphragm is and you don't feel like looking it up then just remember how all of the muscles in your stomach feel.

3. Raise your chest and take a deep breath. Your back and rib cage should expand sideways. If your shoulders move more than your rib cage lie down on the floor facing up, breath, and remember how it feels. Stand up and try breathing the same way you did on the floor. Breathe for four counts. (like four seconds)

4. Place your diaphragm in the same position as it was when you said "HA!" and sing at a comfortable note . . . . I know it feels weird . . . after you think you have it try going up the scale with the same technique. This is what you should feel like all the time when you sing.

*After your comfortable with it try singing softly. It's harder to sing soft than it is to sing loud. If you can sing something at least at piano (softer than speaking voice, louder than, but closer to, a whisper) then it will be a lot easier to control louder dynamic levels.

*If you still have trouble with your diaphragm and you are an imaginative person then pretend that in your body you are trying to hold an inflated beach ball below water.

*It should never hurt. Though, sometimes it feels like you just worked out your stomach (because you did) after singing for a while or just doing a lot of staccati. (short, crisp, detached notes)

*Never lock your knees. (Don't push them all the way back when standing. The blood in your body won't circulate right and you'll faint after a while.) To stand correctly do this: Stand with your feet shoulder width apart. Place your knees a barely-squatting position over your knees. Place your hips (with the top half of your body, of course) over your knees.

Hope this was helpful and not too long! ^-^

How do i create a Greek themed bedroom?

F@$H!#N

How would i go about creating a greek themed bedroom. I was thinking either beach-y or mythological.

1. What colors do i use?
2. What do i put in the room to make it feel like Greece?

Thanks :D
Please provide links and pictures. Thank You!

Answer
Well the colours that I associate with greece is Blue and white, not only because of the flag but from the fact that a lot of the buildings are painted white with a bluRIroof.
http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://www.theodora.com/wfb/photos/greece/greece3.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.theodora.com/wfb/photos/greece/greece_photos_02.html&usg=__KFkZhqgTjNAhKgm5fFoqxviI1QM=&h=525&w=700&sz=80&hl=en&start=3&um=1&tbnid=y3S-hPgbZITobM:&tbnh=105&tbnw=140&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dgreece%26hl%3Den%26rlz%3D1T4SNYK_en-GBGB270GB271%26um%3D1
Like that :)

I wouls say that a good Idea is to paint 3 walls in white and one feautre wall that beautiful blue colour :)
Also I would say get large(ish) pictures/posters of greece, I know that places print canvases with your choice of photo so maybe you could even use one of your own or maybe some of the buildings, beach or the historical aspects e.g. acropolis.

Another colour I tihnk would be nice to mix in is gold as gold and white to me adds to the greek goddess type feel, I would say get white gurtains made out of a thin material and if you have enough space in your room get them longer so that they 'puddle' at the bottom. Also tie them back with some gold ribbon making sure the draping at the windows look good.
For other room accessories I would say just use nice blue and gold things, maybe a white bedcover with blue and gold cushions or throws, maybe even if you could get hold of some greek flag pillows. Also if you have a canopy bed that would be perfect and use a simillar idea to the curtains e.g. drape sort of like this http://images.hayneedle.com/mgen/master:HOOK454.jpg

For things such as desks or bedside tables you can try and get hold of plaster pillars and add a glass top to them as this would really complete the theme.
Ohh and you can find your name in greek and paint it on your blue wall in white paint :)

For my Humanities class, we are planning and having a Gatsby party in the school courtyard. About 30 people will be there and we were all divided into different committees and I was placed in the decorations committee. I basically just need help with a big list of anything to include in decorating the party and what it should look like. Keep in mind I'm 15 and we have a budget.

Answer
Gatsby is grand, big, clean, white, flowery, elegant, nice design and doesn't look cheap.

Colors would be ALOT OF WHITE, pastel colors & metallic silver & gold
If you could find sparkling tinsil to hang & be part of the background that's perfect.

I would just limit it to white, blue, silver & a tiny bit of black (on a budget for a party)
You could also do white, pastel colors & gold (for luncheon, daytime event)

Gatsby On a budget:

-white table cloths on tables with beautiful flower center piece & a couple big flower arrangements. See if there's any florists that will donate them or give you discounts to advertise their business at your school. If they look realistic you can use fake ones. Maybe you'll have some in the theatre room

-REALLY BIG WHITE, circular BALLOONS with a couple colored ones & metallic ones. Ask for discounts & donations for advertising. BIG, all the same shape & size. you want it to be circular so it looks grand.

- white tents. Tables can be in them. You can rent these tents at a party company with the chairs. You can also rent silverware & place settings

-Little twinkling lights. You can ask classmates to bring it in to borrow. Use label makers to tag them to return them.

or this

Tents, balloons, with tables, flowers & sparkling lights. Rent simple chairs. You could probably get away with clear plastic utensils & clear plastic plates that vary in size. Then rent big cloth napkins.

Also pay attention to how things get served, what bowls, serving utensils are used.

How do I shoot in low light without a flash and an extended shutter speed?

marineslad

I heard I need to use a high ISO, but what else should I do?
I have a DSLR and long exposures are not an option because I will be shooting moving subjects

Answer
It would be beneficial to know exactly what you will be shooting.

Scenes with people moving?
A city skyline in the distance?
Floodlit buildings or fountains?

Successful low-light (non-flash) photography requires a fast lens (f1.2, f1.4) and a high ISO if there is any chance of subject movement. Since "stopping action" is a function of shutter speed you'll need to keep it at a minimum of 1/125 and preferably at 1/250. As usual, when dealing with a question such as this, I refer to my trusty FotoSharp (http://www.fotosharp.com) Day & Night Exposure Guide (DNEG).

Lets look at one example from it: Home interior - average light*. At ISO 800 we'll need f1.4 to achieve a 1/125 shutter speed. To get to 1/250 we'll need ISO 1600 @ f1.4. If we are burdened with a slower lens, such as an f4**, we'll need an ISO of 3200 to get a shutter speed of 1/60 and that certainly won't stop much movement in our scene. To get to 1/125 and have some hope of stopping slow action we'll need ISO 6400 at f4.

As we increase our ISO we decrease our picture quality. As in all things its a trade-off. In-camera noise reduction can help, as can programs such as Noise Ninja. However, they can only do so much. It comes down to whether getting the picture or not getting it trumps picture quality.

Now if we're photographing scenes like the city skyline or floodlit buildings or fountains our task gets easier and we can use a much lower ISO and a slower lens. However, we'll now need a tripod and a way of holding our shutter open for an extended time. Lets use the DNEG and look at its settings for "City skyline in distance".

ISO 100
f4 @ 8 sec.
f5.6 @ 15 sec.
f8 @ 30 sec.
f11 @ 1 minute

ISO 200
f4 @ 4 sec.
f5.6 @ 8 sec.
f8 @ 15 sec.
f11 @ 30 sec.

How about Floodlit buildings/fountains, outdoor Christmas lights and candlelight close-ups?

ISO 100

f4 @ 1 sec.
f5.6 @ 2 sec.
f8 @ 4 sec.
f11 @ 8 sec.

ISO 200

f4 @ 1/2 sec.
f5.6 @ 1 sec.
f8 @ 2 sec.
f11 @ 4 sec.

Regardless of the ISO we use we need a large sensor which means a DSLR. For the best results a full-frame sensor would be our first choice. Nikon D3 or D700; Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III or 5D. A DSLR with a smaller sensor can be used but you'll need to read test reports to determine which brand and model delivers the best results at extremely high ISO settings such as 1600 and up.

* Unfortunately, there is no indication as to what constitutes a "home interior with average light". It could be a room lit by two 150 watt bulbs in regular table lamps or one lit by a couple of 4' recessed fixtures. You'll have to experiment using the numbers from the DNEG as a baseline.

** f4 is 1/3 stop slower than f3.5 so if your lens starts at f3.5 the numbers from the DNEG are still valid.

How to pack for camping and have everything organized?

camping table tent on Vango Elm Slatted Table - a table that rolls into its own carry bag ...

we enjoy the outdoors and camping, we have bought many items during the years and now we have many things, and they get everywhere in the car during the trip. How do you pack kitchen items: paper plates, utensils, paper towel? bed items (they are bulky)? mosquito repellent bottles ( they love me )I usually put kitchen stuff in a plastic container, but to reach the bottom I have to take everything on top. Any creative ideas? tips? I may buy a space saver bag for the bedding, has anybody tried that.

Answer
For car-camping I use a medium-size Rubbermaid Action Packer bin with sheets of plastic (lexan? stuff from Home Depot) cut into 11" tall dividers and duct-taped into place for my kitchen box. There's room in the box for my pots and pans, three propane canisters, plastic plates and bowels, napkins, trash bags and space for most of my dry foods. On the very top I lay my large griddle, cutting board, campfire grate, collapsible sink, axe, folding saw and 1/2 rolls of paper towels. I have a mesh organizer I made myself and screwed to the inside of the bin's lid to hold my cooking and eating utensils.

I can then strap my Coleman stove and el-cheapo propane grill on top of this. When I get to camp, all the stuff on the top of the bin comes out and generally stays out until it's time to pack-up and go, and the stuff underneath is stored vertically instead of flat, so there's no digging for buried items. The lid, with the utensils attached, also comes out and stays on the mesh shelf under my camp kitchen unit (small folding table with grill shelf).

Generally speaking, each person -- child or adult -- is responsible for carrying their own clothing and sleeping kit. All our sleeping bags compress well into their stuff sacks, and we use self-inflating mattresses that also roll-up tight. The sleeping bags go inside each person's duffel bag or backpack on top of their clothing and personal items, and the mattress gets strapped outside to the top or side. Clothing is organized into dry bags to protect from any weather or mishaps, and for organization. We also use one of the drybags full of clothes with a pillow case instead of a pillow. Each person is also responsible for their own toiletries, which go in a small nylon bag stored the outside pocket of the duffel bag or backpack, along with sun block, insect repellent, flashlight or headlight with extra batteries.

If you are using regular bedding you'll find that sleeping bags will take a lot less space and weight, particularly if you use a compression bag (just remember to loosen the compression bag during storage at home so the insulation doesn't go flat). Our bags compress down to about 9x12". As mentioned above, we put a pillow case over our clothing's dry bags to use as a pillow, or you can get inflatable pillows. Also, camp towels or large "Sham Wow" type towels take up much less room than regular household towels but work just as well, and dry more quickly.

The tent, 2 LED lanterns, 2 bag chairs, roll-up table, dining tarp with poles go into one large duffel. This sometimes leaves one or two loose chairs to sling over your shoulder.

If necessary, I can stack the two coolers, Rubbermaid bin, stove and grill onto a folding luggage cart and drag it to the campsite on one trip, then return and strap the water container, large duffel, and camp kitchen to the cart for my second trip.

I didn't really watch it myself, but I heard there was squabbling and someone jumped onto the judges table? I'm guessing that after auditions which impressed the judges, some really dropped the ball at boot camp. Rather than trawling through Youtube, can anyone name some names for me?

Answer
It's repeated on ITV2 3 times a week and its on ITViplayer

What's an art, technology, or design studio?

LadyNRNO

For architecture class we have to find out what is a:
Design Studio, Technology Studio, and Art Studio
Along with finding out what they are I have to find out what does it take to design them. E.i. Furniture, space needed- etc.

It would be great if you guys have websites i can look at that will give me the answer. I sorta need a website to refer to. Thanks a million! =D

Answer
An art studio is a place where an artist works. Being an artist myself
(a painter) I can tell you alittle about how I have my art studio set up.
It is basically one large open room with 5 different designated areas.
A studio functions much like a small factory (Which I hate to admit, lol).

1) Creation Area. This is where painting, drawing, and all the creation happens. It is most likely the second largest area of the whole operation.
It needs good lighting, either by a window or good articifal lighting. It contains an easile or desk, something to set paintings or papers on, a chair, music radio, a can of brushes, and tools of the trade. It is an area which carpet isn't the best idea for flooring as painting can be messy.
Pictures of examples...

2) Cleaning area. This is where paint brushes are washed and any clean up is done. It has a large sink, paper towels, floor broom, and garbage can.
Perhaps a mirror, scrub brush, and soap.

3) Sprey & Finishing section or booth. It enclosed area which has a fan leading out side for good ventalation. It is long area because I also finish wood framming. I sprey the paintings with vanish, it isn't healthy to breath the fumes in, so that is why I have this area. On one of the side wall is a series of hooks where I hang safety glass and breathing masks.

http://www.albertiwoodworking.com/resources/spray-booth.gif

4) Famming & Matting area. It has a large table is an area which takes alot of room due to the size of picture frames and the storage of them. I use this area kind of like a supply storage area aswell, with tall shelves.
Example of a store but set up the same way...
http://www.rousseausfineartframing.com/images/INTERIOR_SHOP700.jpg
http://www.karenskornerframeandart.com/Custom%20Framing/Selecting%20Frame-Matt3.jpg

5) Business Section. A desk, computer, printer, file folders, and anything business related items. Shelves. It is basically and office area where the artist keeps track of shows, dates, and business. It can also double as a display area for finished artworks.
http://www.tanzende.com/Painting_Gallery/UrbanArtStudio.jpg

Some artists who start their own galleries have there studio's built into their shop. People can walk in and shop at the front, while they can see you create art in the back. There is definitly a variety of ways you can set up an art studio to optimize relationships with collector or cliental.
