I would like to go into the Marines, and would like to be a marksman or possibly a scout/sniper. How do I prepare myself for the test that, correct me if I'm wrong, you have to get 38/40 or better to qualify? I'm assuming the best platform would be the AR-15 since it has major similarities to the military counterpart.

There are two tests for rifle qualification in the USMC: one is table 1 which is 'target' shooting at 200, 300 and 500 yds. The other one is a combat marksmanship test which is done at 25, 50 and 100 yds.
The basic fundamentals for firearms are pretty much the same, especially for rifles. You just have to know the rifles capabilities. The NRA has shooting classes you can attend- many instructors have military and law enforcement backgrounds. Some have competed in matches. When you shoot, find a comfortable position and relax.
When I'm not shooting, I practice getting into shooting positions and dry fire the weapon. If you don't have a weapon, use a broom. I wouldn't stress too much though. You will get at least 3 wks to familiarize yourself with the m-16 at boot camp before qualification.

A disturbing flyer is making its way around the Occupy Phoenix camp. And itâs targeting cops.
Yesterday, the Arizona Counter-Terrorism Information Center (ACTIC â a division of the Arizona Dept. of Public Safety) released a bulletin announcing the chilling document that seems to endorse and justify the killing of law enforcement officers.
Copies of the âinformationalâ letter were apparently left on a table with other documents to âeducateâ protesters at Occupy Phoenix.

Never. Left wing media outlets are even bored because they want death. That way they can claim the protestors were martyrs. Its sickening.
