I have been with a woman for 10 years. The first five were spectacular straight out of a movie We were best friends The problem started when I brought my children over the loop with her in the home that we shared i bought into the home so technically it was hers first We fought like cats and dogs and she belittled my children every chance she could get My mother was very sick at the time with cancer and every time I tended to my mother she seemed to get Angry. I threw her a surprise birthday party I brought my mother and children she virtually ignored us and sat with her family We had a garage sale I brought my mother we set outside she ignored us and set downstairs in an air-conditioned basement I wanted to throw a birthday party for a friend that night she said no but I Did anyway. It was an outdoor party and it rained my children my mother and I had to bring all the dishes in as she Laugh at us and through digs I borrowed her shampoo one day she went ballistic My children ate chicken fingers and got messy at the table she went ape shit I took her to the mall to buy her clothes for work but walked away momentarily I she was trying to close on She screamed where the fuck were you She tells my boys to grow up and act their age their 10 and 12 I invited her to baseball games she says go alone Finally she said get out gave me my pot of the money back and told me and the boys to leave We mended fences now I'm back here on a temporary basis My mom passed away and now she's finally very nice to me again She wants us to pool our money together including my inheritance She's bending over backwards to me and wants my boys to come back to I don't want to throw away the years I have with her but there's been a lot of pain I was all alone for two years helping my mom and being with my boys she was never involved When she threw me out I did meet somebody else somebody who had two children as well She's a great

My dads friend tommy had the same predicement she left him acred all nice then got back together he spent tons of money on her and installed new kitchen cupboards countertops everything then after she was done she left him. Then she did it again!!! She wants you back cause you have inheritenc now and she wants in on it say you want to still be friends but thats it and find annother woman trust me on this one bro shes a golddigger

What happened to the Westward Ho Casino?

I was just in Vegas & see that it was demolished. What is going to replace it? Will it be a newer Westward Ho or something else?

The Westward Ho Hotel and Casino was a casino and hotel located on the Las Vegas Strip in Winchester, an unincorporated area of Clark County in the U.S. state of Nevada. The Westward Ho was the last large motel style property on the Strip. It was mostly two-story building with parking surrounding the buildings.

History
The Westward Ho was built and operated by siblings Dean Peterson, Faye Johnson and Murray Petersen, natives of Hyram, Utah. It officially opened in 1963 and closed on November 17, 2005 following the sale of the property. Marketed as the friendliest casino in Vegas. It operated for 42 years, and was known as the world's largest motor inn.

According to the Clark County Assessors Office the property was sold to a Denver, Colorado company named C D P W H Acquisition, LLC (Centex Destination Properties a subsidiary of Centex Corporation) who will reportedly will build high-rise condominiums.

In January 2005 the Westward Ho opened an expansion casino simply called The Ho located at 2920 South Industrial Road, but unlike its parent property The Ho was strictly a gambling hall, convenience store and gas station geared primarily towards truck drivers and other transient travelers using the I-15 Interstate highway corridor. On November 25, 2005 eight days after the Westward Ho permanently closed their doors The Ho also permanently shut their doors.

The Westward Ho has been demolished and the property is currently for sale.

Voyager Entertainment had plans to build a large observation wheel on the property together with Centex Destination Properties but those plans have been canceled.

Driving along the strip, the golden umbrellas, polished gold brass fixtures, and mirrored facade were popular icons on the northern strip. The free-standing golden umbrellas (known as spectaculars in the lighting industry) stood over 80 feet tall and when installed in 1983, were revolutionary designs. These pylons were emulated both on the strip and Fremont Street (Golden Gate, Las Vegas Club, Bally's).

Inside the casino, the prevalent color scheme was brown and green, emphasizing the brass and dark Oak fixtures. There was also a faux-champagne fountain in the rear lobby, which poured water down a pyramid of stacked champagne flutes.

The Westward Ho was also famous for regular events, such as the "Grub-Steak Jamboree BBQ", "HO-waiaan Luau and Dinner", and the "Fabulous Doo-Wop Dinner" which included outdoor dining and party-atmospheres.

While other casinos on the strip featured table minimums at $5, $10, or $20 minimums, "The Ho" often had table minimums as low as $3, which made it popular with avid gamblers as well as locals.

Can an empty, in-ground pool be used for storage?

We are looking at homes for sale and many have pools. We don't especially want a pool. Besides paying for a pool removal service which we know exists, is there some way to convert the pool into something useful? I'm thinking about something like an outdoor basement or something. Maybe a deck over the top with steps below? Just curious if this is possible.

I remember seeing something like this in a Cheech and Chong movie years ago...

However, you'd have to have a pretty low water table all year long, or water would come into your pool. Or, I've actually heard of empty pools floating right out of the ground, as ground water rose. You'd also need to worry about where rain water would go.

I suspect this idea would have many problems for these reasons, although it sounds like a great idea for an unused pool. I've read that pools don't raise the value of a property even a little bit, because so many other people don't care for the expense and trouble of maintaining them. If you find a house you really like, I'd try offering them a price low enough to pay for a pool removal service, too. I think that's probably going to be your best solution.

My boyfriend and I are in high school and my mother makes me take friends along and im running out of ideas to do! We did ice skating, beach, pool, movies, and bowling. Any other ideas that we could do, cheap and good for groups?

Type into your search engine "free activities in" then add the town or city. Hopefully, you'll get a whole list of free or cheap ideas. I've thrown in a few other ideas as well.
1. You may learn of museums that have a free day or that youth are only $2-$5 any day of the week.
2. free outdoor weekly movies
3. music at a mall on Sat and/or Sun in the summer
4. geocaching
5. a parade (cruise) of cars or a car show
6. events at the county fair, such as the fair itself or a rock show, dog show, or cat show on a weekend
7. organize a clean-up day at a creek or a beach or find out if there's one happening already.
8. Each couple can pack a picnic basket for the park or make it a potluck (if it's a weekend, may have to arrive by 11 am to get a table for lunch; if it's a place for hiking, arrive even earlier
9. watch the paper for activities put on by clubs like early morning bird watching or even star gazing with small telescopes provided in the hope that teens will get interested
Card party: Arrange a time when an adult can chaperone & have card tables set up for board games & card games. (Have a rule book handy if you haven't played in awhile.) 2-4 people per table with a break for snacks. Can be afternoon or evening.
10. Can also check the rec dept. to see if any summer activities are planned for teens. Could be classes in fun stuff or a dance. Can put in requests for the future for something you think is fun. Could be ballroom dancing lessons (maybe swing, retro, or whatever) or beginning cooking for both boys & girls. Might be able to hire your own teacher for a couple of hours if one of you has a large enough home.
11. A thrift shop challenge: See if each person can find at least one item to wear at a thrift store. Another time, the challenge might be to find either a book or a knick knack for decorating
12. yard sales or flea market: pick one neighborhood where there are several going on. Might bring bikes or might walk. If it's close to someone's house, could hit the yard sales in the morning, then come back & make something like poor boy sandwiches (subways) at that house. Could each bring something to make a potluck it a, with some bringing things like pasta salad or bean salad & others bringing things for the sandwiches or a dessert.
13. monthly potluck, noon or evening, taking turns on the house. Some may be fancy houses, while others might be a challenge to find a place for setting up a long folding table or card tables after filling plates in the kitchen. In fair weather, could be outside. Agree on who will bring something for each category, veggie & dip trays with tortillas, salads, main dishes, breads, beverages, desserts or something like watermelon or ice cream. Find out if anyone is vegetarian. Can vary all this. Sometimes it could be a full potluck.
14. miniature golf
15. roller skating
16. Find out if your farmers markets serves any ready-to-eat things or if they'll have any demos on certain dates. May sell crafts, too.
17. List the places you know that are inexpensive to eat. Can go there anytime, like IHOP for breakfast or a lunch place or a pizza place. Someone may have a birthday & plan a party using the party room of a pizza place (sometimes free with 20 people). Probably must bring chaperones for teens.
18. Go to the city's fireworks show on 4th of July.

For the things in somebody's home, see if you can agree on which in-home activities you want to do. Then see how many people there are & whose parents are willing to take a turn & set up some sort of schedule so none of the parents gets stuck with it more than once or twice over the summer.

My biggest concern with your group is if some sixteen-year-olds are driving with a carload of teens in the car. Please observe that it is the most dangerous situation for young drivers & take care not to distract the driver. (In California, there are some limitations on teens transporting teens even after they get their licenses.)

After that, you may be ready to repeat all those other categories that you originally did.
