hi
my family and i camp quite often we are a group of 6 and this is what we bring

tent
blankets
pillows
clothes

towels
shower stuff (shampoo soap wash cloth toothbrush and paste)
toilet paper
its best to put that stuff in its own small bag to easily carry to the bathroom

coolers we bring a few one for meat, one for drinks and ice, the other for things like ketchup mustard lunch meat
food you do not want to buy when you get there
paper plates
plastic silverware
trashbags
paper towels
camping stove
a pot
a pan
anything you want to season your food with
we have a flat skillet (fabulous you can cook almost anything on it $20.00 at walmart)
spatula
stirring spoon
CAN OPENER (we forgot this the first time we went)
if you will be cooking over the fire s grate from the grill
or small portable grill ($10.00 at walmart)
dish soap
sponge
if you pack these things in a plastic tub you can wash your dishes in it after you eat

flashlights
extra batteries
extension cord
small fan (incase it gets to hot)
small heater (incase it gets to cold)
2 strands of x-mas lights where we camp there is a picninc table with a roof and we put the x-mas lights up so at night we have an even amount of light at the table (also fabulous)
hammer and nails (just a few to hang up things on a tree or picnic table ike the x-mas lights bags with snacks or bread)

deck of cards
maybe a board game if you like to play them
chairs to sit on one for each person
we bring glow sticks for the kids
portable dvd player
dvd's
if you are bringing kids try some finger paints playdough or coloring books to keep them busy
and if you are going to have a fire get some fire wood from the store or a chainsaw (incase the only wood you find is large and needs to be cut)

other important thigs are handsanitzer and depending on the place you are camping maybe some 409 or clorox (the bathrooms are sometimes yucky)
bugf spray and sun block

i know it looks like alot but when you get it packed it really is not the much and we use all of it and have a blast each time we camp
if you are primitive camping then perhaps you will not need half of this but some of the comforts of home are nice we really enjoy being out and away from things like the T.V and work and some of the animals you see are amazing

What kind of camping stuff can you rent on a military base?

My husband is Army and in Korea and where I live there is an Air Force base. I heard you can rent camping equipment and other stuff from there. Is this true and if so what all is there to rent for camping? And are the prices reasonable?

the out door rec building has a bunch of things. camping. BBQ, bounce houses, chairs, tables. all sorts of things.

i was going to get a bounce house for my son's b-day. they were $50 and normally $65 down town. so a little cheaper.

it will depend on the kind of camping you want to do. if you are talking tents and sleeping bags. them walmart might just be better, then you own them and can go more often. but if you are looking for an RV, the kind you pull with your truck. then they are good priced. different areas have different prices. i think the RV's were $85-175 a day depending on size.

since your hubby is in NK. you will need your POA.. since he is army and not actually assigned to the AF base near by. so check to make sure they will allow you to do the pick up.

In the US if you rape some one the first time and are found guilty you are set free with nothing but a slap on the wrist. In India they already get life in prison and some how this does not deter the rapists there. women need to wise up and carry a knife or other weapon. Not sure what a knife costs in Delhi. You can get a great one hear in the states called a hunting knife. Long enough to go all the way thru their body if required for only 7.95 at walmart camping department. It comes with a sheath so you can slip it on a belt and wear it openly. Its a nice little reminder to would be attackers to pick on somebody not armed instead. Rape is the law of a God who feels men should please themselves with whatever is handy. In his big 10 commandments he does not even mention women or children or rape. Its a man worlds. DON'T MAKE GRAVEN IMAGES (WHATEVER THOSE ARE), that gets almost top billing but rape is just alright with God. With this in mind, men tend to please themselves all they like in every country. In America, more and more women are getting armed via guns or knives or mace. Women in India need to do the same thing. Laws never once stopped a criminal or fear of being caught. They do what they do because the odds of actually being punished are so slim they ignore the law no matter how harsh and in America its a rapists paradise as the law against sex offenders here is either to set them free OR give them 10 years but let them out in 6 weeks because frankly, there are few beds open in prison anymore for long term stays so they have that revolving door policy for all pedophiles and rapists but women here are changing the judicial system that looks the other way ever since the cave man days of old and carrying concealed or non concealed weaponry to make sure they can slow down or halt any would be attack. I believe in showing off your weapon, it stops attacks from happening to begin with. It works like putting up neighborhood watch signs in a subdivision. They see that sign and go down the road instead to some subdivision to rob a house where people might be less apt to be armed and ready. Women have been raped since Men were created. The head of the Baptist church released a statement last year to all baptist women in america, they are not allowed to EVER tell a man no to sex, no excuse accepted. So like if you had a triple heart bypass that day, too bad, GOD says you HAVE TO do it with hubby. Get rid of politicians and religions and watch how quickly laws change. They carried a six shooter on every hip in the old west and tho hollywood and its thousands of old western movies show it was a showdown every night of the week, frankly crime was 99 percent lower than now and a gun was very very very rarely ever shot. You put a knife on your hip and the odds of you not being raped are 99 percent also. Otherwise we women are sitting ducks. Always have been but today women are getting smarter and what we can't make up for in Brawn, pointy little objects tend to balance the scales considerably more. Mace is fine but it takes all day to turn off the safety on it. You have to press it so hard to try to get a tiny stream to come out and if you don't hit them in the face quickly they have you already and its too late. You pull out a knife, no safety, you begin swinging it and watch how quickly they run. Changing the laws in Singapore are no different than laws in the US or India. Men have never been afraid of the law. Being men they all think they are made of steel. but since a knife will cut thru their steel bodies (they don't have ) that tends to wake them up and also cool their lust for blood and terror. Nothing ever changes unless you bring a little terror into the picture and turn those tables around. Rape is a not a US problem, its world wide, its horrible everywhere. Screaming or scratching or pulling their hair does not save your life. A knife however scares the pee out of a man, you might actually cut his peenie and that wouldn't be nice so they run away like the cowards they are.

I bought the tv from Walmart as a display but it did not come with the tv base in order for it to stand on a table stand.

It is very difficult to finds stands for specific TV's as most manufacturers do not make then to be bought independently. You can try to contact Samsungs customer service and ask but I doubt they will have such option or will know where to get one. And if they do it will be like $250.

Your next chance would be trying to check on Craigslist and see if anyone is selling (or giving away) used or parts only TV of your model or very similar one with stand.

Third option would be to by a universal TV stand such as this one:
