what can u do at browns clearwater lodge (atikokan, ontario, canada)?

Yooo

i might go here with my friend and i was wondering what kinda stuff u can do there?
please NO random answers, i really need to know

Answer
Well, firstly, it is an excellent fishing destination, with many types of fish to be caught; you can fish a different lake each day, with as many as 40 choices (they have fish-cleaning stations on site, so they allow you to eat what you have caught). If you choose to go during the colder weather, you have the opportunity to go ice fishing or snowmobiling. Next, Browns' Clearwater Lodge is great for boating or canoeing- very relaxing and peaceful with amazing scenery. You also have the chance to go on 'eco-tours', where you take a ride on a 10-person pontoon boat and learn a little about the ecosystem, if you are interested in that. And of course, you can roast marshmallows and sit by the campfire at the end of the day.

You can choose the camp either on the beach or in the forest. With electricity, a picnic table, and a fire pit, you and your friend are pretty much guaranteed a great time. They also have cottages or mobile homes available for rent if camping out does not suit you.

Finally, if you want to take a break from the outdoors, they have a game area where you can play pool or shuffleboard. They also have an internet cafe, a lounge, a fast food diner, a sauna, and more.

Good luck, I hope you and you friend have a great time if you choose to go!

Mt everest statistic questions?

Blake

I need the 5 most popular climbing routes of Mt. Everest (or the 5 easiest ones)

and then if you could i need to select two of the popular climbing routes and identify the key places or camps. Make a table for each climbing route. Each table should include the name of each camp, the elevation of the camp in feet, and the difference in elevation between each camp in feet. Identify which section of each route gains the most in elevation.

thanks in advance :]

Answer
A) Japanese Couloir
B) Central North Face
C) The Great Couloir (White Limbo)
D) South-East Ridge Standard ( Sir Edmond Hillary's route )
E) N-NE (Zakharov's) Couloir

The two most popular are the: South-East Ridge Standard ( 1140 climbs )and the North East Ridge with ( 655 climbs.)

South-East Ridge:
Southeast ridge begins with a trek to Base Camp at 5,380 m (17,700 ft)
Camp "I" at 6,065 m (19,900 ft). a gain of 2,200 feet
Camp "II" at 6,500 m (21,300 ft) a gain of 1,400 feet
Camp "III" at 7,470 m (24,500 ft). a gain of 3,200 feet ((The most gain after Base Camp))
Camp "IV" at 7,970m (26,000ft). a gain of 1,500 feet
The South Summit at 8,750 m (28,700 ft) a gain of 2,700 feet
The Summit at 8,848 m (29,029 ft). a gain of 329 feet.

North East Ridge:
North East Ridge begins with a trek to Base Camp at 5,180 m (16,990 ft)
Camp "II", at 6,100 m (20,000 ft) a gain of 3,0I0 feet
Camp "III" at 6,500 m (21,300 ft) a gain of 1,300 feet
Camp "IV" at 7,010 m (23,000 ft) a gain of 1,700 feet
First Step at 27,890 feet. A gain of 4,890 feet. ((The most gain after Base Camp))
Second Step at 28,300 feet. A gain of 410 feet
Third Step at (28,510 ft to 28,870 ft) a gain of 570 feet
The Summit Ridge at (29,029 ft) a gain of 159 feet

As a historical note, I interviewed Sir Edmond Hillary and his Sherpa Tenzing Norgay in 1998 for a television station here in Ontario Canada. A huge man ( at 6' 6" ) with a heart of gold. May he rest in peace.

Hope this is what you need.

Regards,
Warren

We fly in the western US and Canada and love to camp next to our airplane. Have you discovered any great airports that either offer or allow camping? What are some of the attractions near the airport that make it a good destination? Any good restaurants? We love to camp but hate to cook.

Answer
Here's a list of airports in the NW - many with camping.

Lost River
Ranger Creek

When you are cooking up a shore lunch, do you prefer walleye or pike fillets?

I may be a minority, but I like pike better then walleye.

Answer
I gotta admit, Walleye is much easier to clean. But you do make a point about Pike!

I find Pike has just as good a flavor as Walleye.

I haven't scheduled our Father/Son fishing trip yet. (We go on a F/S fishing trip every year.)

In the last couple years we've been going to the Gunflint, (on the border of Canada).

Last year I took my bigger boat, but this year I'm bringin' the flat-back canoe, (more access to lakes in the area).

Here's where we stay- http://www.gunflintpines.com/camp_cabins.shtml

We get a "Camping Cabin". It's cheaper than a regular cabin, (by quite a bit), and is "almost" as comfortable. These particular Camping Cabins have electricity, (which can power a hot-plate, portable cooler/fridge, a small heater, CHARGE BOAT BATTERY'S, Etc), bunk beds, a cabinet, nice front deck with picnic table and your own personal drinking water source. (There are communal bathrooms for shower within walking distance).

I can't tell you enough how GREAT this area is for Smallmouth, Walleye, and Pike!

We average 20-30 fish PER PERSON every day.

It's not uncommon to have 80-100 fish for every boat/canoe!

And talk about "wildlife" and scenery! We ALWAYS see at least 3 Moose, MANY deer, and 1 or 2 bear while we are there. It's just a GREAT experience!

I just can't WAIT!!!!!! Is it only 5 months away? (growl!!!!) (lol)

And 4-5 days usually only costs $400 - $500!

(growl!) (lol)

What jobs can you get at the age of 14?

nicole m

Okay well I don't want you guys saying baby sitting or paper route. Some of my friends who are 14 have jobs and there not paper route's or baby sitting. One of my friends works at Arby's and he is 14.Does anyone know any jobs that I could work at.I love in canada. So make it places in canada. Please and thank you.

Answer
Some places might allow you to work and pay you under the table...not that I'm condoning that or anything lol. I worked at a skate park when I was younger at the concession stand and they would just cut me a check every week depending on my hours. Look into places that cater to kids and usually they will have openings like being a junior counselor at a kids camp. Don't be afraid to ask friends, family, etc. Usually if you know someone with a buisness they wouldn't mind letting a younger person they know work for them.
