Answer

www.atozteacherstuff.com , click search and type what you want or click discuss and ask your question.
www.preschoolrainbow.org, topic on side bar

camping: build a tent from large sheets and chairs, use flashlight for "fire" or to make shadows on side of "tent."

Pirates: have half class hide treasure and make map. Then other half has to decipher map and find treasure. Sing "yo ho ho and a box of juice drinks." Make telescopes or binoculars using tp rolls. Have each child hold a hook and fish for treasure in davy jones' locker (the sand/water table.) Make a pirate ship using paper shapes or blocks. Design and create your own treasure chest using a cardboard box. Books I read when I do pirates: When the Wild Pirates Go Sailing, Dinosailors, How I Became a Pirate, and Tough Boris. (I consider the latter 2 must haves.)

All your topics, except for pirates, have their own catagory in preschooleducation.com

States should significantly limit gambling?

Jane Awe.

I am prepping for a debate camp, and i am having a hard time researching this topic. Can anyone help me?

Answer
Govts. should not limit gambling at any level. It is not the role of the govt to protect us from ourselves. If we choose to risk our money at the craps table, that is our prerogative and we should have every right to do so.

How can I make him like me back? 10 points best answer! ;)?

itscuzimye

I really like this guy and after a few months I finally got over him because he started to like another girl. But after last night at the dance at my school he looked so cute and handsome. I couldn't take my eyes off of him and I went in the photobooth with just him. We're going to this camp together and we have to take bart and the bus (just us two). So my other question is what type of conversation should I start off with to get it smoothly going? Thanks (:

Answer
Sigh. You can't /make/ someone else like you.

You can pretend to be someone else - someone they would like - but that never ends well.

You can be yourself and hope they like you for who you are - and they either will or they won't.

You can let them know that /you/ like /them/ and see if they return your feelings.

But you can't /make/ anyone like you.

Next:

I have to ask, has anything really changed? You moved on because he liked someone else. Is he with this person? Does he still like her? If nothing has changed, then your problem remains what it was when you chose to move on, and I think that was a very smart idea.

If it has changed.. and with all my opinions already laid out on the table...

I suggest talking about what camp will be like, as that is the point of the trip, and is therefore a natural topic of conversation.

Be yourself. Talk about the things /you/ are looking forward to (or dreading) and ask /him/ what he thinks/likes/doesn't like about camp.

From there, either the conversation will become stilted (in which case I'd back up for a while) or it will progress naturally to other likes/interests or past experiences.

Best of Luck~

What equipment do you need to build a well?

For school project we have to create a fictional NGO mine is for building wells in Africa. We need to make a budget and I need to know what stuff i would need to build a well so i can put it in my budget.
Please answer ASAP
:D

An Inexpensive, Do-It-Yourself Water Well http://www.fdungan.com/well.htm Makivenzi Water Project: Complete! http://thewaterproject.org/water_well_kenya_africa.asp A freshwater well costs $3,500-$10,000 and can serve an average of 500 people with clean water for 20 years. So, for $20, one person in Africa is provided with clean what happens next?

After a well is installed, charity: water partners work directly with villagers, teaching them how to maintain and fix their well and hand pump device, while also conducting basic hygiene and sanitati on classes
water.http://www.charitywater.org/getinvolved/promos/josh_hofing/index.html Rebeccaâs Well for Malawi http://lifenets.org/malawi/rebecca.htm Ryan and Jimmy: And the Well in Africa That Brought Them Together It costs a lot of money to build a well in Africa -- a lot more than Ryan Hreljac had thought. Still, the six year old kept doing chores around his parents' house, even after he learned it could take him years to earn enough money. Then a friend of the family wrote an article in the local newspaper about Ryan's wish to build a well to supply people with safe, clean water. Before long, ripples of goodwill began spreading. People started sending money to help pay for Ryan's well. Ryan was interviewed on television. He appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show, twice. His dream of a well became an international news story http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?r=1&ISBN=9781553379676&ourl=Ryan%2Dand%2DJimmy%2FHerb%2DShoveller ------------------The "average" cost to build a well in Africa is $3,000. And that well could easily serve a community of 700 people (more or less), depending on how condense the area is. For example, if it's located at a school, an orphanage, or center of a local village vs. refugee camp for displaced persons, where it may top 1,000 recipients. The greatest thing is, the people will benefit from the clean water for their lifetime!

Now sometimes Blood:Water Mission works on repairing existing wells. Often these are wells that may have been built in the past by other organizations or companies with very good intentions, but then became in disrepair because the people of the village were never taught how to properly care for their well and take ownership of the project. These repairs can cost as little as $500 to $1,500. The beauty of BWM's work is that the people of the village are a great part of not only organizing and assisting with the installation of their well, but actually form committees to oversee the use, routine maintenace, and overall safety of the well. That really makes a difference to the longevity of the well and actually boosts morale of the people too, because it's their project.

Finally, it has a lot to do with the terrain (soil conditions)in the area that the well is being placed at. For instance,if the water table is extremely low and the climate is terribly dry, wells can cost as much as $15,000 U.S. dollars to complete.

It's also good to know that fresh water wells aren't the only clean water source that BWM works with. They also protect natural fresh water springs and install rainwater catchment tanks.http://www.bloodwatermission.com/index.php?&content=board&brd=topic_222314__0

Please help me! I need to make an activity that is all about conquering fear and building courage?

maemae

I am making a Structured learning experience (SLE) and my topic is about facing fears and building courage, i am going to conduct this to a class. i need some help on what activity should i make them do that is related to this..I want it to be fun.pls help

Answer
conquering fear is kinda hard, since everyone has different fears.
in a camp i once did trust fall, but that might be unrealistic.
how about blind lead? it's when you pair everybody up, in each pair one person gets blindfolded and the other directs that person through obstacles (like stairs or around tables, simple things). though i'm not sure if that's more of trust than courage :/
