Can I bring my rats camping with me for 3 days?

We are going camping for 3 days at a campground only 20 minutes away, I have to pet rats. My moms afriad that they will stink up the trailor but if I sat them on the picnic table under the canopy during the day and bring them in at night they should be ok. We have plenty of room in the trailor for the cage. Should we bring them or leave them at home?

If you are going camping the last thing you want to do is keep your pets outdoors, especially at night. The next morning they will not be there. My husband and I took our cat camping many times in the RV. We had his litter box, which we cleaned regularly and it never smelled in there. If you keep them caged, then bring them. But like I said, don't even leave them outside without their cage in the daytime. If other campers see rats, they will either alert the campground office or take matters into their own hands. Most people think of pets as dogs and cats...not rats.

Where do the make up artists do the make up for an outdoor shoot?

I have no experience working with make up artists so I was wondering where does the makeup artist have to do the make up. I have sceduled 2 outdoors and one indoor shoot for next week in London.
Do I have to provide a house for the make up or will it be done outside?

p.s. This is a TFCD (Time for CD with the pics from the shoot) photoshoot.

Explain the details to the MUA (location and theme), and see what requirements they have. The MUA will do the makeup where ever you are shooting. For the outdoor shoots, having someplace flat for the MUA to set makeup and brushes would be nice. KEY NOTE: The more comfortable you can make them, the more willing they will be to work with you in the future, especially if you need them last minute (also applies to models). If you can, pick up a small "camping table" that has folding legs.

Everything below, I consider as an investment plus I tend to play "pack mule" and follow the addage of "It's better to have it and not need it, than not have it and need it". Besides MY gear, on outdoor shoots I also bring: a pop-up changing tent (it's a Trekker Fold-A-Privy) for outfit changes (it collapses to ~32"x2", like a reflector does), a camping table, a cooler (with rollers) with ice and water, and a small mirror (in my camera case), and if it's going to be a sunny day on a flat area I bring a 10'x10' instant up canopy (12"x12"x56" closed and the case has rollers). I manage to fit all this into my small car. The changing tent always gets the most compliments. If there are any sporting goods stores by you, check out their camping section. I picked up the changing tent for $40 USD, and the table for ~$20.

The canopy has come in handy for me on more than one occasion. The white top functions very well as a scrim (and as shelter for the sudden rain shower).

Place to go camping east coast?

I am looking for a good place to go camping in the east coast, around north Carolina, Georgia.... Beautiful places, nature, waterfalls, etc.... Any suggestions?

I can't wait to go camping at *Edisto Beach State Park*. SC has some great state parks; we love them. And Edisto Island is my absolute favorite beach. It's quiet, uncrowded and clean, lots of shells and sand. Not tourist-y at all. The state park has beachfront improved camp sites (though they book up VERY fast) and another site across the main road under beautiful oaks with tent sites too. They have a great bike/hike trail (about 4 miles long I believe) that winds through the tree canopy and over the marsh.

We're also putting *Devils Fork State Park* on our list. http://www.southcarolinaparks.com/photo-gallery/default.aspx?ParkId=1355 The lake beach with the mountains in the background is beautiful and there are couple falls nearby. *Table Rock* is another popular state park. And we heard from a friend that *Huntington Island* is another great state beach park. This the state's most visited park and it has an historic lighthouse you can climb. They even have direct sewer hookup if you're going RVing. I've not been but she says it's much closer to "civilization" than Edisto, which is pretty secluded.

I love the Highlands area of NC, esp in summer. The temps are very cool, air is light, very pretty area. You might find some campgrounds around there, maybe near Franklin (Dillard, GA is close too). We camped a couple falls back in Brevard, NC, which has lots of area waterfalls. And the NC area around Boone is very pleasant, imo, though I'm not familiar with any specific campgrounds there. We try to stick with state, national and Corp parks because they seem to respect nature the most. So many private camps are becoming more asphalt and less shade - not my idea of camping.

i decide its better to rent a pickup truck for camping. Any advice on how to secure the loads in place?

im am just planning everything out right now. i know basically nothing about a pickup trucks. should everything be covered with a tarp?

All the little and light stuff should be under heavy stuff. Say for instance you have pillows and a table you'd put the pillows on the bottom and the table on top and then get sturdy rope, bungees or bailing twine and tie it down. Along the sides of the truck bed should be holes where a canopy would secure, use those to hook the bungees or pass the rope or twine through and tie the heck out of it with big knots. A tarp might hold it all down I don't know how that works. When you get it all loaded ask a country boy to show you how to do a good tie down including the knots.

I'm going camping in the Sierra Nevada's a couple weeks from now. We will be doing a LOT of hiking. We're not using tents, so I won't need that. Basically I just need a general list of the necessities
