Periodic Table:
"The Periodic Kingdom," PW Atkins (Peter W. Atkins) -- ALL TIME FAVORITE AUTHOR, This one treats the table like a geographical landscape....i owe all my periodic skills to this little book
"Mendelyeev's Dream," author forgotten (sorry)
"Nature's Building Blocks," John Emsley --- all the elements of the table

Specific Elements/Molecules
"Molecules at an Exhibition," John Emsley
"Lipstick, Vanity, Viagra," John Emsley --- these last 2 books each offer a Profile of specific molecules found in society and the various products used by society.
"The Carbon Age," Eric Roston -- very recent, very good,
"Hydrogen: The Essential Element," John Rigden -- deals alot with PHYSICS actually
"Oxygen: The Molecule that Made the World," Nick Lane -- geochemistry, deals with very current research...excellent
"Big Coal, The Dirty Secret Behind America's Energy Future," Jeff Goodell -- political agenda, of course, but it is carbon...and chemistry affects society, so its good to follow the links.
"Coal: A Human History," Barbara Freese -- becoming a definitive book on coal history, not like the above book, this one really focuses on the carbon rock itself. WONDERFUL, and quick to read.
"Plutonium," author unknown, new release, dont own YET
"Uranium," author unknown, new release, dont own YET
"The 13th Element," John Emsley -- all about PHOSPHOROUS.
"Napoleon's Buttons: 17 Molecules that Changed the World," Le Couteur & Burreson

General Chemistry Books:
"The Crucibles of Chemistry," Bernard Jaffe --- very excellent, biographies of ALL MAJOR chemists, and therefore of chemistry itself
"Distilling Knowledge," author forgotten -- a short view of the history of chemistry
"The Last Sorcerers," Richard Morris -- history of the PEOPLE involved in chemical history
"Creations of Fire," Cobb & Goldwhite -- the WHOLE history of Chemical science
"Designing the Molecular World," Phillip Ball -- looks at CURRENT research being done, and provides neat explanations of basic material along the way, all mixed together.
"The Development of Modern Chemistry," Aaron J. Ihde, THE authoritive history of chemistry
"The Secret of Scent," Luca Turin -- very interesting foray into perfume chemistry

Where is the best place to stay at disney world? I have 2 boys that are 5&6?

Samantha

We would like to take our boys to D.W. I would like to know what the best value and experience would be.

Answer
It all depends on what you want to spend and what type of resort you'd like to stay at. There are three categories: deluxe, moderate, and value. Deluxe obviously are the most expensive, with moderate and value being a little less.

Value: If your boys like sports, the All-Star Sports Resort might be fun. It's a sports themed value resort that's big on fun. Popular sports like baseball, basketball, football, surfing and tennis are emphasized, which is why it's great for kids. A standard room consists of two double beds, a television, a bathroom, a table and chairs and internet access and a mini-fridge for an additional cost. This is a fun experience if you're more devoted to spending the day the parks than hanging in the hotel room for a little bit, though it isn't the highest quality.

Moderate: I've always liked the old charm of the Port Orleans resorts in the moderate section. French Quarter and Riverside are two branches of the Port Orleans line, and both are great. Your boys may not appreciate the scenery as much as you will, but the fun additions - such as horse-drawn carriage rides and a pool with a water-slide - will make the boys immediately get excited. Both have very standard rooms, perfect for a quick in-and-out in the morning. After all, at Disney World, the hotel isn't a huge part of your stay.

Deluxe: I usually stay at a deluxe resort simply because of how stunning they are. It was hard for me to go through all the deluxe resorts and choose one that would manage to cater to the personalities of two young boys, but I found it. The Disney Wilderness Lodge is so great for families that I'm surprised it didn't smack me on the forehead as soon as I clicked on this question. It is surrounded by gorgeous scenery, with a ton of trees that you can point out to them. The wooden interior gives off a cool outdoors vibe with all the benefits of staying indoors. These rooms are especially great for families and kids, because you can request a room with a double bed (for you and your spouse, or just you) and bunk-beds for the kids. Nothing can spoil a vacation more than no sleep from constant kicking, so bunk-beds are a good way to keep the kids separated from you and your sleep needs.

Last but not least, there are Disney campgrounds and deluxe villas, both of which are fun but have some cons. For camping out, it's basically camping out: no nice, air-conditioned room to return to after a long day riding rides. This, opposed to the Wilderness Lodge, is the actual outdoors, with no cushy padding. It's not recommended for younger kids because they often get fussy and hot, plus I know that after a day at Disney, I want a nice bed to sleep in, not a sleeping bag.

As for the deluxe villas, a villa is basically a small house with numerous rooms. This is more ideal for large parties and is outrageously expensive, especially for three or four people. I don't recommend shelling out the money for one of these, unless an extended stay of over two weeks is applicable.

Other than that, enjoy your vacation and I hope I helped!

Is it normal for me to want to jack off with my guy friends?

Nate Simps

We've seen each other naked etc. and have joked around about circle jerking. But we are all straight as hell. We are a tight knit group and have also joked about having group sex with girls. So do you think it would be okay to jack together to straight porn etc.?
And we've all seen one anothers morning woods. As we have all partied together etc. therefore spend the night together because we won't drive after.
We are all 19-20
Morning wood is a morning erection you wake up with...

Answer
I did it w/ friends when we were all like 10-14. Camping out, tree forts...those kind of situations. Exploration, comparisons and curiosity. That kind of stuff. To me, it was completely natural and no big deal. I think it's great you've still got such a tight group of friends. You're comfortable with each other and something as simple as "flogging the log" next to each other....means squat. Way too many guys are too uptight about this crap. Who cares dude, who cares? Wax your candle when you want. If it's w/ buddies nearby?......low card wipes off the coffee table.

How can i hide my self harm scars?

camping table big w on The following is a fully copyrighted outline of truncated first ...
camping table big w image

Taylor

I have scars all over my arms from cutting and burning. I've done good this pas year at hiding them most of the time.. now it is summer and i cant keep wearing long sleeves and a jacket all the time, i am about to go to camp and will have to do water games and wear a swim suit. What can i do to hide it!!!??

Answer
Personally, I would not worry too much about it. I used to cut and have lots of scars on my left wrist. I wore long sleeve shirts/Hoodies for about a year and a half after. This year i decided to just dress 'normal' and wear w/e. Nobody really tends to notice. If it helps, while walking, swing your arms less and hold them in closer to your body. As for sitting down, you could try and sit on the end of a table where no1 is next to you on one side i.e. If you have scars on you left arm, sit on the right side, so no1 can see them.....If they are on both arms you could pick one that you will use most and hide that one.....If you are right handed(i'm not {kinda} ) and you are eating lunch and are eating with you right hand and drinking with your right hand, sit on the left, people will hardly be able to see them. (...another thing that i do most of the time now is when sitting down, put your arms so the wrist is pointed down towards the table and not like the side of your arm is touching the table...)Bracelets are a GREAT idea, i know tons of chicks(yes im a guy btw) that wear bracelets. You can go with big chunky ones, or go for some liverstrong style or my personal favorite, lots of those thin shiny rubber-like ones. Also cloth bracelets are typically thick. For scars that might be higher up on your arm, you can try foundation on them, I've tried that once before and it didn't really work out for me b/c my scars aren't that discolored(they are almost the exact color of surrounding skin) but they are very raised. It can definitely help with discoloration and helps a little with texture imperfections. If its a camp at a lake, i assume that the lake is not crystal clear, so i would not at all worry about it in the water. As for going around places with your suit, you could try and carry a towel. There are a few options with that, the first it to fold it over your arm like a butler. The other is like over your back, like a batman cape, and then hold it with your arms like your going to try and fly(sorry for how stupid that sounded but it was best way to describe it....and don't hold it out to the side but like down at your sides...).....you can also fold your arms when walking, this looks normal...you can go and look, there are quite a few people that walk around like that all the time....When walking, you can also do the sitting down trick and walk(if cuts are on your left) on the right side of the group of people. Obviously walk on the left if cuts are on right......But to be completely honest, people, unless they are former or current cutters, are not going to look at your wrists....If someone does ask, you can do a few different things, depending on the person, if you don't want to talk about it or w/e you can say you got in a car accident and a bunch of shattered glass scraped your arms....(if they question it or think its illogical think of protecting your face with your arms, the wrists point to where the window would be so it makes logical sense....anyway...)....Personally i would go with this next way if you are comfortable with it. Which is to tell them that you used to cut, it is really hard(even for me) to tell someone in person...I have met a lot of ppl and/or learned about my friends that were cutters(not 'a lot' but a dozen or so...) I would do this if they look emo/goth/hardcore/scene(maybe)/cutter/sad/lonesome/depressed/Overweight/selfconcious/have an eating disorder or are really really really skinny/or if they actually have scars on their wrist..................if they look like they can relate, i.e. former/current cutter, OR if you will never see them again cuz its a camp, you could( and MOST of the time i would.....) tell them, and do it in private. (Or if you are rooming with some chick that you will never see again, on the last night before you leave, just tell her.....for the hell of it...it gets a lot off your chest....unless you will see her again, then think about whether or not you want them knowing.......) I also kinda make people swear to secrecy before i tell them.....not like any1 would rat you out cuz what would they get out of it?.................But to finish off my super long ass response, i just wanted to say that you can use some of the strategies listed above(Both in my and a few other ppl's, {Josh isn't that nice.....} ) And unless the person is a cutter, they will not notice your scars(so longs as you don't just make them horribly obvious). You can wear bracelets, sit down/walk on a side(and hide them by the way you walk/sit down). You could cover with towel. But if worst comes to worst, and they ask, you have a fake story, or can tell them the truth(it is a lot easier than you think) But Relax, have fun, you only live once and your would be surprised at how many friends you can make by opening up...
