I have a question about concentration camps and genocide during the holocaust. When people were sent to death camps, why did they keep people rather then just kill them all once they got there? Did they want to just elongate the pain people would have to endure? What was the purpose in keeping people in death camps for a long time?
did every camp make them work? what kind work did they typically do?
if they weren't "work" camps, what did they typically do?

Answer
Once the Census was done Using the IBM punch card system the Prisoners were collected and tent to Concentration Camps

on arrival Most were sorted Death camps Slave Labour camps or work Camps

Auschwitz was the Biggest Slave labour camp Work camp and death camp and also a Concentration Camp

where women Children old and Infirm were separated for Death the men and some women were sorted by trade the Nasis used Tailors at Hugo Boss to make pretty SS uniforms

engineers were used In Auschwitz to make parts for Ford ITT GM Bendix the Silversmiths and Gold smiths made the Fancy Daggers for the SS

the Standard Oil Petrochemical Plant at Auschwitz used 83,000 slaves so the Employed Doctors Nurses wardsmen all the keep the Trained workforce working

some of the Girls the Blonds and the Pretty ones ended Up In the Nazi Comfort Houses

or in the SS dining rooms

the Nazis never wasted anything from Qualifications to Gold Fillings

this is what Standard Oil of New Jersey Texaco DuPont Produced

In 1940 after the Germans Lost the Battle of Britain and Albert Speer Told Hitler Germany was Running out of Fuel Standard Oil / IG Farben Texaco DuPont built 40 Petrochemical plants in Germany and Occupied Countries and the Biggest was In the Auschwitz Complex it manufactured Synthetic Fuel Oil Rubber and Zyclon B and used 83,000 slaves once Up and Running produced

100 percent of German synthetic rubber

95 percent of German poison gas (including all the Zyklon B gas used in the concentration camps)

90 percent of German plastics

88 percent of German magnesium

84 percent of German explosives

70 percent of German gunpowder

46 percent of German high octane (aviation) gasoline

33 percent of German synthetic gasoline

Table 2-1

German Army (Wehrmacht) Dependence on I.G. Farben Production (1943)

Product Total German Production Percent Produced by I.G. Farben

Synthetic Rubber 118,600 tons 100%

Methanol 251,000 tons 100%

Lubricating Oil 60,000 tons 100%

Dyestuffs 31,670 tons 98%

Poison Gas quantities Unknown but enough Zyclon B 100%

Nickel 2,000 tons 95%

Plastics 57,000 tons 90%

Magnesium 27,400 tons 88%

Explosives 221,000 tons 84%

Gunpowder 210,000 tons 70%

High Octane (Aviation) Gasoline 650,000 tons 46%

Sulfuric Acid 707,000 tons 35%
that was why the Nazis Built a British POW camp Inside the Auschwitz complex to prevent the Allies Bombing

the site at Buna was Poland's Biggest Coal Reserves Used to make all the Synthetics

the Standard Oil Petrochemical Plant at Auschwitz used 83,000 slaves so the Employed Doctors Nurses wardsmen all the keep the Trained workforce working

why did we Not Bomb Auschwitz the Nazis Built a British POW camp Inside Auschwitz to prevent Just that and ensured the allies Knew where the POWS from Dunkirk went

What are your best camping tips for a novice camper?

I am going to a B&B, but they have a wide expanse of camping grounds, which is where a group of us (4) will be staying. They also have tent rentals, wood, access to a grill, and bathrooms. Since I'm a novice, I wanted to start this way. What should I bring? What should I know? I would love your expertise!

Answer
Bring along as little as possible. Air mattress under blankets or sleeping bags are much more comfortable than cots and take up less room while traveling. You will also need a small Coleman propane stove for cooking. Bugs are always a problem, so bring along bug lotion or spray and plastic wrap to keep food easily covered. Lots of dirt and debris gets tracked into tents, so a small plastic whisk broom and dustpan are most helpful. A large inexpensive door mat in front of the tent entrance really helps to keep the dirt down. Bring TWO large igloo coolers along. One is never enough. A fold-up camp chair for everyone is necessary. And, a nice camp light or lantern is needed. Keep the entrance flap closed and secured at night to keep critters from coming inside. They will try. Two big bungee cords are good for securing down a plastic tablecloth from the wind at both ends of a picnic table. Bring along a 30-50 foot length of plastic rope or clothes-line cord for a clothes line. Don't leave any valuables in the tent whenever you leave the campsite, even to use the restrooms. Keep valuables locked up inside your vehicle. Park your vehicle not so much for added privacy, but to block traffic from accidentally plunging into your tent.

We fly in the western US and Canada and love to camp next to our airplane. Have you discovered any great airports that either offer or allow camping? What are some of the attractions near the airport that make it a good destination? Any good restaurants? We love to camp but hate to cook.

Answer
Here's a list of airports in the NW - many with camping.

How would you convince a Nazi death camp commandant that he should stop killing Jews?

Dr. SC1enc

How would you convince a Nazi death camp commandant that he should stop killing Jews SIMPLY BECAUSE IT IS WRONG?

For the purposes of answering this question, it is IMPORTANT for you to read and consider the following factual context (PLEASE read it):

(1)The commandant knows that he will suffer no severe negative consequences by refusing to work in the Nazi death camp. He is certain that the higher Nazi authorities will simply transfer him to some other administrative work outside the camp system.

(2)The commandant knows another person will take his place as commandant in the camp, so the killing in the camp will almost certainly continue whether he is there or not.

(3)The commandant knows that if every man in Europe refused to work as a commandant in the Nazi death camps, then there would be no Nazi death camps and no Jews would be murdered in them, and perhaps no Jews would be murdered at all. But he knows it is very unlikely that every man in Europe will refuse to do such work, though, he also knows this scenario is not impossible.

(4)The commandant has no fear of being punished after the war, for the crimes in his Nazi death camp, by the nations which may end up defeating Nazi Germany, since: (a) he considers it a virtual certainty that Germany will win the war, and
(b) he has a foolproof plan to escape to Argentina with a false identity just in case Nazi Germany happens to lose the war.

(5)The commandant has no fear of being punished by God because he thinks God is simply an ancient myth. He has the same regard for Karma.

(6)The commandant expects to benefit financially and to benefit greatly in terms of prestige and career advancement if he continues to serve the Nazis as commandant in the death camp until all the Jews in Europe are dead.

(7)The commandant is already well aware that people who subscribe to conventional morality would be appalled to see this mass murder of Jews in the death camps, and would condemn him if they knew about it, and would try to talk him out of doing it if they had the chance. But the commandant does not subscribe to the conventional morality has been convinced by the Nazi higher morality, according to which:
(a) Might Makes Right (the reverse, that Right Makes Might, is a Jewish idea which has been thorough debunked)
(b) Only the strongest and best humans have a right to existence, a right that is proven and won in struggle with others. Rights that are simply written on paper in government constitutions and government laws have no meaning, do not produce or build anything, don't feed or house anyone, are counterproductive of life, heap unjust burdens on the productive people, are unnatural, and are unsustainable in the long run.
(c ) There isn't room or resources on the planet for every human being, so some must go. It's really just that simple.
(d) In all of Nature there is continuous struggle in which those who are less able to compete must and do die. Human beings are flesh and blood beings which a part of Nature just as much as tigers and gazelles and grass. Angels and gods have never been seen by anyone, and are simply inventions of weak minds.
(e) To coddle, protect, indulge, feed or have mercy on the weak is a Jewish idea which has been a plague on the earth and which has weakened the Aryan race. It was this Jewish idea that led to the defeat of Germany in the war of 1914-1918.
(f) The Jews themselves have committed genocide against other races and nations in the past, as clearly depicted in their Bible. Therefore, they have no right to complain if the tables on turned on them. They have not right to claim that they have a higher morality.
(g)The Jews, though being sub-humans, are living beings, and so are entitled to suffer as little as possible. Therefore, we kill them quickly and painlessly in gas chambers that they think are going to be de-lousing showers. It is all over in a minute or so. The Zykon-B gas works very quickly. We aren't killing them in an inhumane manner, we aren't torturing them the way medieval Catholics and Protestants tortured heretics and witches, at least not in the camps. No Jew is being burned alive, for example.
(h)Everyone dies sooner or later. No one lives for ever. All the Jews that we the Nazis kill in our camps would die sooner or later anyway. We are simply expediting their deaths for the cause of a greater human civilization.
(i)If the Jews weren't so perverted in their minds they would understand what a plague they have been to human civilization. And if they did understand what a plague they have been to human civilization, they would kill themselves for the good of humankind, much in the way some murderers kill themselves after coming to understand the wickedness of the harm they have inflicted on others and realize that they can't ever make amends for what they've done, and cannot change, or cannot ever be redeemed or forgiven.

Answer
I don't know if you could, you have to remember that hitler was the leader, they had to do what he said, so you would have to convince the leader that it was wrong or convince all the soldiers to turn on the bad leader
