I would like to change the colour of my furniture, without buying new.?

Tink

I have glossy beech furniture in my room, chest of drawers and a bedside table, I want black furniture now, but cant really afford new, and i like the style and shape of mine, it wont take paint because of the glossy finish too it, do you think maybe i could use sticky back plastic in a black colour or would that look tacky?

Answer
i would say trying to cover the couch 1st with a couch cover that way you can pick what color you want and when you want to change colors again you just have to buy another color

I want to redecorate my bedroom. can anyone help me ?

Q. Hello :)

Had my room the same for quite a while and feel like a change.

I have beech effect furniture ( bookshelf, drawers, bedside tables, wardrobe, bed) and one small window with silver vinetian blinds.

Unfortunately the wallpaper has to stay. Its plain with raised ovals on it. Not too bad but can be painted over.

I have a mirror which i am thinking of painting silver.

I have covered one of my walls with old Vinyls as this gives a great effect.

Just need idea's on colours and things i can do to make it look good.

At the minute im thinking pale green walls with a white bedspread with green and brown stripes at the bottom. Sounds pretty good to me .

Any idea's are much appreciated.

Thanks :)
x

go to www.cb2.com. I think you will like it. It is a sister company from crate and barrel but more modern and better prices. They have some stuff I think you will like. Hope this helps. Mander B.

Please help me design my house?

Kiara

I want to make my house pretty :) on a tight budget :(
I will outline what furniture is in each of the rooms, and can you help me come up with a colour scheme, what to buy, picss etc?

Lounge: cream lounges, cream walls, cream carpet, cream blinds, blue shaggy rug, brown timber coffee table, brown timber wine rack, black TV cabinet, black frames on walls, blue lamp.

Dining room: white table, grey & white chairs, lace tablecloth, cream carpet, cream walls, house plant on table.

Master bedroom: black, blue & pink doona, dark brown timber furniture (bed, tallboy, bedside tables, dutchess).

Spare room: mattresss, heap of egyptian statues and frames on walls, white bedside table, and a lounge I need to recover. I need to buy a bed frame, doona, and recover a lounge. We were thinking gold and black to make an egyptian themed room?

Study: beech and charcoal office furniture (hutch, desk, side desk, filing cabinets, book case), black office chair, a lounge to recover, degree in a timber frame. Was thinking beech, charcoal, and aqua?

Then theres also the kitchen and just sort of an "area" where theres two couches to be recovered. I don't know what to recover them with....
