Joint Graduation Party At The Beach?

pebbles190

Ok so me and my friend are throwing a surprise graduation party for 2 of my friends( ones a boy and the others a girl) the girl is 18 and the boy is 16(he's graduating early) anyways I REALLY NEED U GUY'S HELP! We really want this party to be absolutely fun and a night that they will remember forever, but I need some ideas on how to keep everyone entertained and just make it a very fun evening WITHOUT ALCOHOL! So please help me, thanks :)

Answer
Surf's up! Have some fun in the sun with this guide for a beach party that surfer dudes, beach bunnies and the whole family can enjoy. You gotta RESERVE the beach PARTY SPOT and INQUIRE as to the BEACHâS HOURS and know the RULES!!! Get to the beach early and allow plenty of time to set up everything.

Provide them with directions and create a big beach-themed signage to hang around your party area to help guests find their way around. Decorating your beach party is a breeze, since the sun takes care of your lighting, and the sea, sand and shells give you lots of natural atmosphere. You can add to the summery scene with colorful beach towels, and bring lots of beach chairs for your guests to lounge on, plus few colorful umbrellas. Also bring the carry-on folding table and turn the beach towels into tablecloths. Bring trash bags for clean up.

Tie some helium balloons to one of your chairs to help your guests find you â but be sure to tell them what color balloons you're bringing, in case other groups have the same eye-catching idea. Beach pails and shovels make great decorations. Get some crazy beach sunglasses.

If you plan on staying until after sundown, bring some tiki torches to light things up, and warm your guests up, when the sun starts to set. A bonfire, if the beach allows it, caps off the evening in true, beachy style. If youâre staying after dark, you might want to pack a sweatshirt and jeans to keep you warm as the evening cools off. And, of course, you should definitely bring sunglasses, a hat, zinc oxide and lots of sunscreen so you donât have to end up wearing nasty sunburn the day after your beach party.

Playtime:
Go get wet in the ocean, play and surf. Set up volleyball net, split your guests into two teams and have a tournament. If youâre not the sporty type, create a contest to see who can build the most impressive sand castle. And for really creative souls, you can play a version of sand Charades: Split your guests into two teams and have all the participants write down objects on pieces of paper. Each team picks a piece of paper and has to sculpt that object out of sand while their team guesses what it is. Have a limbo contest, horseshoes game, hula-hoops, water squirt guns, and play flashlight tag with glow sticks, and donât forget the beach ball.

Food:
Beach party food should be simple and not spoil in the heat. Cook up hamburgers and hot dogs on a beach grill and have fruits like orange wedges, grapes, and strawberries help keep you hydrated in the sun. And for a sweeter dessert, roast marshmallows on the grill or bonfire to make s'mores.

Non-Alcoholic:
Sun tea, Sunkist soda, lemonade and plenty of waters

Music:
Mix some techno your favorite music. Do you have an ipod? Set it up with a good stereo system. If you donât have one, ask one of your friends who does. Follow the beach rules.

Have Fun!!!!

How do I save money on a beach theme wedding reception?

sboyd_hfcc

My fiancé and I are going to Hawaii for are wedding ceremony. There will be 8 guest. We want to have are reception in Michigan. Im in love with elegance with a touch of Hawaii (without being cheesy) to give our guest a filling of actually being there.

Answer
White or pastel table linens, simple flower arrangements, because tropical flowers are not cheap.
You can buy bags of shells online...just Google "wedding shells" and you'll be surprised how many stores there are. Good for table decor.
A simple cake with tropical flowers, and "luau-ish" food and you're all set.
The leis are a nice idea too. You can do Hawaiian without doing cheesy Hawaiian.

Taking children to the beach for the first time?

mommy of t

My husband and I are taking our 1 yr old twins to the beach next month. Any tips/advice that may make things go smoothly or suggestions on things to take with us (besides the obvious clothes, sunscreen etc.)??

Answer
If there is a lot of surf at your beach, you might show them videos of beaches first and talk happily about it, to make it less likely that they will fear the waves. At that age it might not be a concern though. I guess they are too little to really use sand shovels, but it couldn't hurt to bring them - they might enjoy picking up sand and chucking it into the water.

Number one skill I acquired from taking littlies to the beach is, fear not sand and seawater! Unclench about it getting all over everything, sand sticking in little crotches and whatnot, and don't let the urge to keep it under control it ruin your day. Just let it stick, let it get on the beach blanket, whatever. You don't end up with all that much sand in your stuff. Don't sweat about the sunscreen too much either - it washes off, sand sticks in it - but do bring a shade umbrella and be sensible. Sun hats with chin straps are good, but try them on first to see if the kids are just going to rip them off. A good thing to have if you eat at the beach is a wash bottle for hands, to get sand off, and maybe some kind of table to keep any food up off foot level. Don't forget a waterproof bag for wet clothing and towels.

What songs should I put on my music playlist for a vacation trip to Hawaii?

What bags to use for candy buffet at wedding?

bzone

I have decided to do a candy buffet table at my wedding for the favors. I would like to put a container or bag at each chair with a note inviting them to visit the candy buffet. What is the best choice for a container or bag? I want something that they can close so their candy won't spill all over the place once they get back to their seat. And I'd like something that will match my light blue color theme. And something that will hold about 4 oz of candy. Any suggestions?

Answer
Check out these ideas for favor boxes or bags:

*Miniature paper boxes tied with colorful ribbon work well for truffles, fudge, and cake.

*Clear cellophane bags fastened with foil seals show off delicious cookies.

*Tins with stickers displaying your names and wedding date can hold mints or small chocolate candies.

*Mason jars are perfect for homemade jam.

*Coffee mugs customized with your monogram complement packets of gourmet coffee or hot cocoa.

*Sheer organdy bags are versatile and can hold a variety of favors, such as candy or cookie cutters.

*Metal pails highlight a seaside wedding when paired with flip-flops and a beach towel.

*Chinese take-out boxes filled with fortune cookies can be used to reflect an Asian-inspired theme.

What should I do for a beach sweet 16 party?

hailey

I'm turning 16 in June and its gonna be sooo hot so I thinking that it would be a greeeat idea to go to the beach. problem is that my friends that im going to invite belong to different groups in our school and they dont really know each other (they dont hate each other just dont know each other)...so i need some activities that can bond them together and activities that would be really fun! Like smores and the beach im going to doesnt have a lot of volley ball nets so any other suggestions like where to eat or activities?

Answer
Get a long enough sturdy rope from any home improvement store or Walmart for a Tug of War game...what's more fun that trying to get your opponents into the water?

Get a bunch of cheap $1 Beach balls to toss around>>if you want, have some permanent markers for everyone to sign....then draw names to give away as door prizes at end of party.

Frisbees!....You can even use these as paper plate holders, too!....good toss around game.

Get a playground ball....discount store sells cheap enough....play kickball...have something to use as bases. Then you have teams.

Make human pyramids...take pics.

Do a camera scavenger hunt. Google "Beach scavenger hunt ideas" for lists.

Pack food items in coolers, drinks, too for what the beach will allow (non breakable, etc)...have snacks, pre-made popcorn already bagged...the cheesy kind is good. Some candy, Twizzlers, chips, etc. Are you bringing pizza? Subs? Make an easy pasta salad but not using mayonnaise....I think kraftfoods.com has one for an easy antipasto salad.....put in cooler to bring. Have a watermelon & something to cut it with....lots of paper towels and bring a container of Hand Wipes for easy clean up.

If you're sitting on blankets for the picnic...putting baby powder around the edge keeps the ants away. Burning a 3 wick LAVENDER scented candle on the table keeps the flies away. (I say 3 wick because the scent comes out stronger as 1 wick isn't enough). Flies hate lavender.

Mostly, be prepared with all you need to provide for the guests...for food, serving, games, music, clean up, trash bags, camera, pens, paper, etc.
