How far is Downtown Disney from the Magic Kingdom?
My husband and I are taking our daughters to Disney World in 6 days! :) None of us have been before. I'm trying to get an idea of what to expect & what attractions/destinations to hit and we are thinking about going to Downtown Disney. Where is that located & how far from the Magic Kingdom is it? Also, any other tips/advice for our first Disney trip would be GREATLY appreciated!! :) Thanks!

Answer
Just hop on the buses headed to The magic kingdom it's not to far.Book the Bibbidi Bobbidi boutique if your daughters are under 12 even if you just get the hair and make up package it's worth every penny and your girls will remember it forever and talk about it forever.Do the chip and dale movie at the fort wildness camp ground .A nighty movie, marshmallows to roast,a sing a long and wangon ride lots of fun.If you get in for breakfast get in at Chef Mickeys its the one place Mickey and Minnie show up beside in the parks where you dont have to wait in huge line to meet them.If you are using a Disney resort use the extra magic hours and get to the magic kingdom at the early morning hour and see the opening its worth getting up for .There buses that go to the parks and water parks just find the one where your going and hop on .If your girls are younger do the princess meal at akershus in Epcot and get in when all princesses show up .Your girls can meet them as they come around to every table .

What things do you need for a long camping trip?

Charlie

By long, I mean like 2-3 weeks.
What are some tips and things I should know for camping?
Any places that (in general) aren't good for camping?
What about a list of materials I will need?
Thank you. =)

What is the difference between reiki end plate and standard end plates on a massage table?

I'm looking to get a portable massage table due to I'm just coming out of massage school and I don't know the difference. Could come one describe the difference between the two and if any pros and cons.

Answer
Reiki end plates are an open arch, presumably because a reiki practitioner would be doing more work sitting and want to be able to fit their legs under the table. The standard end plates on a massage table have a sort of decorative cross-piece, which gives them a little bit more stability (which is really only significant if you employ techniques that might mean the table is being subjected to a lot of motion during sessions, like Trager work or anything that requires getting up on the table with the client as in sports massage), but also means that when doing any work sitting down you have to spread your legs around the table to get close enough to the client. It's personal preference, really.

I know that Earthlite has at least one model that you can get with a standard plate on one end of the table and a reiki plate on the other end, for folks who might sometimes want the option.

how to convert a built in sewing machine to a portable?

Tiffany

I have an old singer machine that is in perfect working order. It is built into the table. Is there any way I can convert it to a protable machine? I do not want the table part any more. By removing the table also removes that extention to where the needle is. Does anyone have any suggestions? Can not afford a new machine and the one I have is great but no space for the table.

Answer
I'm not a seamstress so I'm not familiar with the undercarriage stuff such as the bobbin holder, but I have been close enough to table machines to know they are just the same without the fancy undercarriage.

I really don't know what you mean by the place/extension where the needle is, unless it's where the bobbin hardware is located.

If I had a sewing machine repair shop, I have to think I could remove a table machine to repair and test before ever putting it back in the table.

As far as "portable" is concerned, it may never be as pretty as the new 2010 "Wizz Bang Super Sewer", but it may still perform all the functions required.

The issue seems to me to be what dangles, no offense, and by that I mean any moving parts such as the drive belt, etc. You might find that you'll have to invent a kind of base/stand to allow for anything below the main body of the machine so you can place it where ever you wish.

Added thought though not for the aesthetics. The machine is mounted on a flip up platform I bet, and as such, you might have to Build a framework under the platform to have unrestricted operation of the machine
