I'm trying to find a place to hold my wedding reception for 500+ people around the cerritos/orange county area?

jane

I love the beach and venues that are aesthetically pleasing (especially for pictures!!!) , however most places that are nice don't fit 500+ people! does anyone have any ideas??? thanks!

Answer
The Anaheim Hilton claims to have the largest space with TWO 28,000 square foot ballrooms plus extra space totaling 100,000 feet as well as the pool area for receptions. Harborside claims to seat "up to 500" but that would be packing everyone in very tightly and uncomfortably. Personally I hate it when you pack 8-10 people at a table touching elbows. I prefer 2 1/2 foot spacing at tables to make guests more comfortable. This might be some help: http://www.orangecounty.net/html/event_facilities.html A little help: You need 2-3 photographers PLUS assistants. Skip the video- nobody ever watches it in the long run and wishes they spent the money on quality photography and flush mounted coffee table albums (plural). Take all principal photos BEFORE the ceremony including those with your fiance so you have time to relax and get the right shots. Family shots too. This will take about 2 hours of time prior to the ceremony starting. After "I Do" you move directly to the party and skip the long delay taking photos. You'll also get a few minutes private time to freshen up and unwind before going to the reception. Have a wedding producer for this size event (not a lame coordinator or planner) and they should have 1-2 assistants helping. YOU should have a personal assistant who is not in the wedding that sticks with you the whole day as your go-fer. Giver her your cell phone with the charger and put her in charge of your needs. Put EVERYONE on 2-way radios with ear-pieces so they can communicate easily all day, even during the ceremony. Make sure the photographers have the same thing on a different channel so they can coordinate shots. If you're in a church negotiate in advance so they understand this is YOUR show, not theirs. You're renting a facility for a private event (your wedding) so don't let them tell you when and where pictures are allowed! My brides always got everything they wanted for photos because we take control of ANY facility including churches; and we don't ask for permission to take those photos. If they want to know, we TELL THEM where we will be taking photos or just do it. Even the pope is photographed during ceremonies but there is always some self appointed "facility coordinator" trying to tell you what you can and can't do with lame excuses like "it's not allowed". That's bull. I could go on and on here but I think you've already gotten about $10k worth of info!

How do you get the soft beach wave in your hair?

Lauren

I have tried everything out there to get my hair soft and wavy, but NOTHING seems to work! If i use gels or hairsprays my hair looks scrunched, the look im not going for. (scrunching my hair doesn't even hold, or look good) Barrel curling irons don't seem to curl my hair at all. Maybe im doing something wrong.. or the products i use aren't fit for waves. Does anybody out there have a miracle product i could try?

Here is a picture:

Answer
You style it the way you like and then use a spray bottle with salt water in it and spritz on hair. Since the salt water is getting in your hair at the beach then bring it from home by just using regular tap and table salt.
