I found cheap invitations on vistaprint.com. My dress is $300. Wedding will be on the beach ($25 permit cost, no other fees). The only decorations on the beach will be a runner, and a small table for the sand ceremony. We might rent some folding chairs, otherwise it would be standing only. My uncle can marry us for free. My main concern is the reception. We have considered getting a beach house for our families to stay at for the week of the wedding, and just having a backyard BBQ/pool/beach party for the reception, but the house that we want is $6000(which our families would HELP, but not pay for entirely, since they would be staying there) for the week, plus we would have to pay for the food and decorations (which would be minimal). Otherwise I can try to find a location for the reception with a caterer (we are thinking cheapest buffet option available) and our families would have to pay their own lodging. Which would be the cheaper (and less stress) option? I am willing to consider other options as well. It is a beach theme, and our colors are blue, black, and white. Ideas for decorations and wedding favors are appreciated as well

My advice:
The beach house is a good idea, but ONLY for a vacation....not for a reception. $6,000 is a LOT of money and that does not include food, beverages, etc. This is not an inexpensive reception.
Look at other venues that include catering. Try to NOT have the "cheapest option" (as you say) if you can help it. Limit the guest list, and you will be able to afford more as far as food goes. The thing that I remember MOST about weddings is if the food was good!
If your guest list is small, you can also look a private rooms of restaurants.
If you are on a budget, forget the favors. This is a total waste of money in my opinion and are NOT needed.

I need help with colours and accessories for my home.?

we have a single story 3 bedroom house. we like earthy colours, but maybe with a dash of brightness here and there. so far our choices have been mostly incongruous and our curtains are weird as is our sofa, since we can't figure out how to get the "dash" of brightness. anyhow, our walls are off-white, so taking it from there, we need help with curtains, cushions, bedcovers, tableclothes rugs and accessories. should i do the whole house in two colours? would it look weird if i did each room in a different colour? what about prints or flat colours? (yes we are quite at sea!)
Answer
Well patterned curtains are great for injecting colour and style, similar to a feature wall it is also great if you have a neutral colour couch and walls as you can now and again change the theme of the room eg from blue to green accents, with rugs I would definitely say to invest in a good quality one, of course it wouldn't look weird doing each room a different colour so long as you do it to your style.
Sea is a great theme you can get so many beautiful photographs and paintings of beach scenes and a really good idea is to get a vase and a large candle with sand at the bottom such as these:

both of these examples are from wedding centre pieces but I have them either side of my mantelpiece and it looks great and creates a great atmosphere when lit.
Also for other room a lamp shade/ lamp fitting can create a great impact on the room. I have discovered that table runners and how great they are, they leave the rest of the table to be easily wiped clean and the runner still looks great
I hope you have a great time decorating
