What are some good tips for living in a travel trailer?

Lily
My husband and I live in a very small travel trailer. We have a tiny kitchen (the built in table was torn out because it was unstable) and the space where the table was is where our three small dogs sleep; small living room with built-in couch (that can fold out into a bed that isn't very comfortable) and we have fixed the space up with a decent TV, shelves for DVD's, and two chairs plus an ottoman; a smallish bathroom; and a bedroom dominated by the full sized bed and shelving for another TV. We have expanded into a lot of outdoor living, utilizing the picnic table our park has provided, the awning on our trailer, a fire pit, a grill, an old chest freezer, a washer and clothesline rack, and a lot of potted vegetables, flowers, and herbs. The places we work are nearby and we both make money, the park is about as inexpensive as we can get, and we are doing okay for the most part, but I'm looking for any tips or suggestions we can get that will make life in our travel trailer better.
Some specific concerns that I would appreciate suggestions about, as well:
- a section of floor in the kitchen is weak and we intend to replace it sooner or later-- is there anything we should take into consideration before beginning and what is the cheapest route for repair while still looking decent?
- there is a spot in the floor of the living room where water is seeping up through the floor, yet my husband can't find the source. Any clue where it could be coming from?
- a small leak in the roof around an antenna causes leaks during major storms-- what is the best way to seal the hole?
- we're near a wooded area and raccoons are common-- any suggestions for distracting/detracting the critters from our veggies growing outside?
Those are some specific issues, but any tips on travel trailer living are welcome, from decorating and organizing to renovating and maintenance. Thanks to any and all answers.
Answer
The water coming up from the floor might be from a reserve water tank Or there has to be a water line covered with something that is leaking.
Your husband can find a sealant from a hardware store or a store like Lowe's to seal the opening where the antenna comes in.
My son used ply board to repair his floor.
Try some black pepper or some kind of pepper for the raccoons. Not on the blossoms because of the bees.
