I'm looking for a quiet outdoor spot where I can record some acoustic music. Preferably on the west side. Preferably not much of a hike from where I park my car. Preferably with a bench or picnic table available to spread out my music. I realize that occasional helicopter and airplane noise may be inevitable but if you know a quiet spot away from other traffic, please let me know!
I'm not sure if the Hollywood sign answer is serious. I thought that area was closed to the public. The other sarcastic answers here are not helpful. I'm hoping someone can suggest a relatively quiet and secluded park with picnic tables that are placed away from vehicular traffic. I already know one suitable spot, Temescal Canyon Recreational area in Pacific Palisades, but the problem there is they charge a ridiculous $7 to park your car. C'mon people, how about some help instead of snarky comments?
Thanks for the Mt. Wilson answer, I appreciate it. But Mt. Wilson is pretty far away from L.A. isn't it? I was hoping for someplace a little closer in.

Now that I have caught my breath... whew... The national forests do have a few places where you can drive out to a nice quiet place and spread your music on a week day perhaps and Mt Wilson comes to mind I went on a thursday and literally had the whole mountain for my self the picnic area's were empty and quiet, great views and I saw deer, squirrels. quail but the only other people were the staff that worked up there. weather is a changing be prepared for rain and or snow and you will need an adventure pass $5 a day or $30 for the year

Where can I find wooden farm tables to rent for my wedding?

Sonya

I'm looking for beautiful farm house tables that are wooden for an outdoor wedding. Also it'd be great if I could find thick sturdy benches for the ceremony seating. Any ideas?

Answer
It's a little hard to help, not knowing where you live, but I found this site: http://www.newenglandcountryrentals.com/services.html
