I have some wooden garden chairs and benches that need some color. Should I paint or stain? Also, I'd like to?

some real color but don't want the furniture to look tacky. I like things to look natural since I live on a river and the landscape is all indigenous to the area. One bench over-looks the river, two others are in a patio area. I also have a picnic table that could use to be re-painted, it's currently a dense red. If I paint, do I need to prime first? Any color suggestions?

Answer
There is a perfect paint for your project and it Olympic paint stain. It comes in a ton of colors, shades and stain pigments. You don't need to prime, but should sand any areas that are gray, peeling or loose. I love this stuff and have found it long lasting, durable, weather resistant and fade resistant. It is great out in the sun and everything I've used it on gets hit by the automatic sprinklers almost daily and it doesn't get discolored like other paints or stains I have used. I got it at Lowes.

Romantic spots in the houston/katy texas area?

Josh

I am a junior in highschool and looking to plan a big suprise for a one year dating anaversery with my girlfriend. I would love to set up a showing were I can have her favorite movie play, but I have no idea where to get a screen. Also I have her favorite food ready but I would love to have a table and everything set up in some beautiful scenic location, but im not sure where. I am new to the area so I would love assistance. Ideas?

Answer
OK~ I have got the point! Your girl friend will be very happy if she knows everything you have done for her. I am very happy to recommend you some gorgeous romantic places for you to celebrate your dating anniversary ~~Hope you can have a memorable and romantic day!!!

1. Burke Baker Planetarium: One Hermann Circle Dr., 77001.
This planetarium is only 1 of 3 worldwide with a full-view SkyScan Digital Sky projector--making events here shine in big, Texas-style living color. Once the lights go down and the music goes up, the dark amphitheatre transforms into a kissing oasis! What is more, few people will come there and you can set a table there in advance.

2. The Williams Tower: 2800 Post Oak, Ste. 6262, 77056
The Williams Waterfall in front of the building is haloed in an almost-constant rainbow of mist and sunshine, complete with benches and a wishing fountain. Is that cool? If you see a film there, that will be terrific~~

3. The Galveston Seawall, 77553
A beautiful place to watch the waves crash against the jetties or to sit upon with a picnic lunch, the seawall serves as both protector from, and portrait of, the Gulf of Mexico.

4. Vargo's Gardens: 2401 Fondren, 77001
Peacocks, swans and squirrels call this place home, and add to the enchanting ambiance of this place--a natural choice for outdoor events of all kinds.

OH~ forget to remind you: All the things you will do are outdoor, so you had better pay more attention to the weather on that day. You can check out the weather forecast on the web below.

When you go to the above places, please be careful and take care of yourself.
