would a beach umbrella work with a patio table?

patio table umbrellas are out of my price range but beach umbrellas are cheaper and maybe the same size. i was wondering if it makes any difference what umbrella you use. my table has a hole in the middle but didn't have an umbrella.

Yes, I've done it all the time! As long as your table has a hole in the middle all you have to do is make sure that the end tip of the umbrella is either pushed into the ground for stability or that the table has a base with another hole so the umbrella stays up.

Is a regular beach umbrella or table umbrella safe to use even if it is not made with SPF fabric?

I would think that having some kind of shelter from the sun at the beach would be better than no shelter at all.

Just make sure to put sun screen on. The spray type is awesome! Its not greesy or sticky!
